Skyliner closes debacle

Improvement just run it through rain, lightning, and wind like it was designed for. The Skyliner should not be going down pretty much ever.
I don't think they shut it down for wind within design safety limits, or for rain without lightning. I've ridden in noticeably windy conditions.

Although Guests in a cabin may not be physically threatened by lightning, can you imagine how Guests would react to a lightning strike on a tower while their cabin was passing, or even more, temporarily stopped? I've been in Epcot when lightning struck a pavilion hundreds of feet away, and I felt like my heart stopped. A lightning strike perhaps 20 feet away while confined in a small space suspended above ground would be terrifying. People would be suing Disney for psychological distress.

This same company created gondolas to operate in lightning and monsoon conditions. I can't imagine Disney under designed this to get by cheaper but maybe.

Disney just likes to be extra cautious. It's also why the busses were not thought of likely as much since the designers likely outlined it could run in all FL conditions.

So people shouldn't get in it then? Not sure what to tell you. Not sure the Skyliner has been struck a single time by lightning yet.
