on one on the bids for skyauction I noticed something that upset me - it was for the Sheraton Vistana - I always check to see what the extra charge will be - it is generally $195 + $15 - that is all

but this particular one say $200 + $195 per GUEST - don't ever bid on anything with that much extra charges.

always read the information before you place a bid.

I still can't believe that they did that - it was for only that one - but always read the ad - can't be to careful these days....

Good advice. I was over there today and saw that ad. I was pretty shocked by that.

Is it the Vistana bid that includes air?

From the Vistana Skyauction bid:

Tax and Service charges of $195.00 per person per 7 night stay are additional.

Offer is based on a minimum occupancy of 4 (four) guests. Up to 4 additional guest packages may be purchased for fee of $399 per person, including air, accommodations and all taxes.

no that was got me upset - it was just the villa!!!

Anyway as I say read the ads carefully before you place a bid!

The other thing about skyauction that bummed me out was that Orange Lake doesn't seem to be coming up in the READY SET GO auctions. We stayed here the beginning of November and it was awesome and what a deal! Now they seem to be auctioning this resort on its own. - which is still a great deal, but more money than we paid. I guess I'll have to keep my eyes open in case they open any availability for the first week in May.

I did notice that a couple of auctions that include airfare do state that the taxes are $195 per person per week. This is even for places other than Orlando. I guess you really do have to "keep your eyes peeled for the deals".

Both Orange Lake and Sheraton's Vistana - have some people (might be salespeople) - who as soon as they see it - push the bid up - $100 a bid - these are different ID - but you might be right it might be the resort.

We just had the worst experience with skyauction. We bid on a trip to Orlando that ended on 12/2403 we won and I was so excited Dh had let me bid as he was so tired of me walking arount the house weeping about not seeing Christmasat Epcot. Ever since the Travel Channel Christmas at WDW that's all I can talk about. I rushed home christmas eve to make sure no one outbid us. Our auction was air and hotel at one of 3 Orlando hotels from LGA in nyc with an option of Chicago for 95 more.
By the time our auction closed there was no air left from nyc and they basically told us too bad we don;t have to deliver. Our site states that we will do our BEST to fulfill auction, no guarantee that you will actually get it. Had I tried to back out I however would hav had to pay in full.
Well this ruined my Christmas my heart was broken as we couldn't find a flight out of ct or ny for under 700. Alas there is a haapy ending my DH has decided to drive me to Orlando from Connecticut. I knew I married a prince but I didn;t know it was Prince Charming. We got last minute rates of 49 a night at a newly remolded Quality Inn on West Irlo. It doesn;t matter we are going to have dinner at epcot and see the candlelight vigile, see gary sinise, new years at Paradise Island.
I guess what I am trying to add is skyauction is BAD and that huge fee they tack on is not their only scam
