Skyauction/RCI ?

Possible scenerio, opinions please:

1. Considering purchasing from skyauction a studio unit (buy it now 7 night hotel room holiday) thats states : sleeps 2.
When you look under the particulars, the room has two double beds.

2. I emailed the resort, didn't mention skyauction/rci inventory and asked them about their studio policy. They told me that these rooms accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children age 12 and under. This is also stated on their web site.

3. So what do you think would happen if I buy the 7 nights at a studio and show up as 2 adults and 2 children (under 12)?

fyi, this hotel has studios (standard rooms) for their rci guests as well as studios they rent out to the general public. The rooms are identical but the rci studios are in one part of the building and their regular studios are in another part of the building.

Any thoughts?
Has anyone ever booked a studio (2 guests) through skyauction or rci and was able to bring children (under 12) as well without an issue? Believe me, if this is not legal, I won't do it.

I would be very interested in hearing opinions/thoughts on this.

I really think the number indicates how many adults in a room. I could be wrong.

rci and II can be strange about studio.

the Marriott's studio has a king bed and a queen sleeper sofa and II kept saying it would only sleep 2..... which is my opinion is down right silly.

that say - studio are tiny....

I would hope that at least a 1-bedroom will show up before you leave. what dates are you looking for?

It may help if you tell us what resort/ hotel you are staying at. In the RCI description, it tells you what type of bedding you are recieving. It may say 2 queen beds, or it could be 2 double beds or it could be a bed and a sleep sofa, or a single king or queen.
