skyauction priceline question

Okay guys, there are sooooooo many online travel places now. hotels.com, orbitz, travelocity, etc etc etc!! Can I get some feedback for reputable ones? I am anxious after being badly burned by an online hotel booking company a few years ago, but want to start looking for a bargain for February vacation. TIA!

I'll bump for you.

I've used travelocity and expedia to book hotel rooms and never had a problem.

I see a lot of posts recommending skyauction, but I think that is for condos.

Priceline is good, but you can never tell what you will get. Once you get it, you cannot cancel either. The deals you can get though sort of out weigh the not knowing & nonrefundable policy. Stay with a 3* hotel & you really can't go that wrong. I haven't used any others. Priceline isn't like Orbitz & those...
SkyAuction is a good one too. They aren't just for condo's but most of the better deals are the condo's. Last Oct I did get the Double Tree Club in Lake Buena Vista for a bid of $3 per night & $15 per night tax/service fee. That came to $18 per night!!!! What is good about them is that you know what you are getting ahead of time.

DisneyArk...You're lucky. I just spent the last month trying to get Travelocity to send the hotel my reservations. I was put on hold for over 20 minutes twice today until I finally hung up. I called back (after being on hold for over 20 minutes the second time) and immediately demanded to speak with a manager. Its been a headache, one that I will not allow myself to go through again. I will not be using Travelocity again no matter what. It was a bad way to build up to our Disney vacation. I am just glad that I contacted the hotel before we left for our trip, I can't imagine how upset I would have been after arriving from a 5 hour flight and driving through LA traffic to find that the hotel never had our reservations.
