I am bidding on an auction on Skyauctions and I was wondering how flexible they are with the check in dates?
One area of the auction reads:

The following dates are available for check-in. Quantity is dynamic and may change at anytime.
December 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 2005

And another part reads:
Travel Details
Check-in Dates Allowed: Anytime within the following date(s):
11/4/2005 thru 12/11/2005
Check-out Dates Allowed: Anytime within the following date(s):
11/11/2005 thru 12/18/2005
Minimum/Maximum Stay:
7 nights.

I want to check in on December 1st. I emailed Skyauctions and they said I had to wait until the auction ended to find out the dates. The first part looks like I can not check in on Dec. 1st and the second part looks like I can check in on any of the dates. I am confused!! :confused3
Has anyone had any experience with this that could give me some advice?
Thank you in adveance :flower: :wizard:

those are the days that skyauction had when the auction started.

when it is through they may have others.

no way to tell.

skyauction gets their timeshares from RCI - who gets it from the owners and sometimes the resorts.

if it is an owner they need to deposit it before RCI can transfer it to skyauction.

resorts use to do block transfers to RCI. but a few years ago RCI changed it policy. everything RCI gets it kepts....not really fair to the resorts. but it is RCI rules. So not all resorts still do block transfers to RCI.

so at this time RCI has no way to know what they will have. then which they will transfer to skyauction.

make sense?

Thanks for the info Spicycat :goodvibes So it is kinda up in the air if you get the dates you want or not. Do you think the odds are good to get the dates I want?... or is it just luck?
I guess what i am trying to ask is, are there usually alot of dates open or is it really slim pickings?
I am getting the feeling this is a big gamble, am I right?
Also I noticed on one of your other posts you mentioned Westgate for $29.00, do you have any info on it? :flower:
Thanks again :wizard:

also very few timeshare have reservations on Thursday, Dec 1.

so I would just take the Dec 2 and go with a cheap hotel/motel in the area for Dec 1.

most timeshares will allow check in on Fri, sat or sun.
