Skyauction and Summer bay

Hi, I'm new to the Dis board but have been reading the posts for a while now and they have been really helpfull.

Can anyone help me with a few questions?

I would like to bid on a RSG auction with sky auction and would like to try and get summer bay for a two week stay from 1st October.

We are a family of four, do you think this is possible and is Summer bay a good place with two kids aged 7 and 11.

Do you recommend any other resorts.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

We went through Skyauction a couple of years ago and got Summer Bay. There was tons of activities to do and our dd really had a blast. We went at Easter time and they even had an Easter Bunny come by for a visit!!

We won a 2-brdm villa at Summer Bay through Skyauction last July and we were pleased with it. It was further down Rt. 192 than we had ever stayed before but the price was great and the villa was nice.

From what I understand, the condos are a little bigger in terms of sq. ft and they also have a balcony. Our villa was fine for us and we are also a family of four. Last year my DS was 10 and DD 8 when we went. The living room isn't huge but each of the 2 bedrooms had a tv so it was fine. Also, 2 full baths was great and the vanity in the second bath was huge!

Lots of activities but the location is a little bit of a drive. If you arent doing breaks it's not an issue but with the heat of July we found it to be a little far during the day. We just worked out schedule accordingly though so it's not a big issue, especially during the time of year you are planning on visiting.

The kitchen was full size and equipped with every appliance needed plus a toaster oven, blender, coffee maker, etc.

Overall it was a very nice stay and no problems at all with Skyauction. Good luck with your planning.
