Sky writing over disney

Not sure if Disney is still a no-fly zone. Was at Epcot tonight and while having dinner ar the Rose&Crown, there was a plane with a banner advertising a Saloon that is now open. There was also several helicopters flying right over head.

..

Disney is a no-fly zone. Any RED helicopters you saw, are Disneys. As far as the banner'd plane - no idea.

Ill be honest with you - Im suprised Im the only one who see's this ....annoying.

:confused3

DH and I were playing with the kids on the beach at the Grand Floridian. Then all of a sudden I started seeing this writing in the sky, first a "J", then an "E", and so on. I thought maybe someone was being romantic or proposing. Well, when they were finished it read, "Jesus Loves You". I kid you not I looked to my husband and said how sweet, some guy named J'esus (hispanic pronounciation) wrote that for his woman. DH looked over at me and said it reads Jesus NOT J'esus silly. :lmao: True story.

:lmao: Are you blonde? (Asked by a blonde - don't be offended!):rotfl2:

we saw the jesus loves you guy in august while we were on the launch from FW. We had a good laugh, he isn't very neat :rotfl:

Look, I find it somewhat nauseating, too, and somewhat insulting, but I pick my battles. Writing it in the sky is not the same as including it in schoolchildren's textbooks.

:rotfl: Very funny! No, I'm a brunette. Thinking back it was a pretty silly comment. But, my mind was elsewhere at the time. We were having a nice relaxing family day and religion was the last thing on my mind.

Thats okay... when we saw him last week he had his U upside down and had to start all over again :lmao:

I thought the same exact thing! :rotfl: I was looking up at the sky while he was writing the message, and I was like... ooh, I can't wait to see who Hay-zeus loves! Then I was like... oh. D'oh!

I know - Disney can put up the roof over the parks so no one will have to look at it!! You know the one - the one that makes it rain so we have to buy $15 ponchos. ;)

Don't sweat the small stuff, folks! Life is way too short! :goodvibes

we felt like we were playing some kind of game while he was doing it because he goes so slow...so every new letter he did everyone would start trying to guess what he was writing.

We actually took pics of it and we also had some of our own ideas of what we would like to write in the sky...but I will tell you they were far from being religious themed

And where did I talk about the military stepping in??

I heard - at the request of someone over at Universal - that they were thinking about shooting the guy out of the sky.

They are going to take a practice shot at a falling spy satellite this week...and if that works out...

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but when I saw this in July while on Expedition Everest, I felt a good feeling inside me and enjoyed the day even more.:)

The last time this thread was dragged out of the cellar someone helpfully posted the FAA map for the Orlando area with the "Disney No-Fly Zone" clearly marked.

Aircraft are allowed to fly over WDW property. It is not a true no-fly zone as one might think. Those aircraft must remain above 3000 ft.

Is it really that big of a deal? You could argue being offended by seeing someone wearing a cross or perhaps driving by a church on your way to WDW. Who cares? If you don't like it, don't pay attention to it. People are WAY too hypersensitive in this day and age imo.

Btw, I have a pic that I took while on the way to WDW from MCO. We thought it was more humorous then anything.

You're not, but I'm trying to follow Robo's advice and stay out of this one, because he's right, nobody's going to win. :)

Fine. *totaling pouting*

I better not see that clown again in September, but I know I will. :upsidedow

but why exactly would WDW be a no fly zone?

I dont know why specifically - but I do remember it was post September 11th.

As I mentioned - I remember those Church Street Station banners being flown over head, before then.
