Sky Tower at SW

Hello all,
From looking at the website...is Sky Tower just a big obsevation deck?
Is it extra to ride it?
As i read it the SW gold and silver tickets offer free rides on it.
Just wondering.

Yes, it's extra unless you are a gold or silver AP holder.
I don't remember exactly how much it is to ride, think it's about $3 a person, but not sure.
It goes up 300 feet, spins around at the top a few times, and then you come back down.
It's similar to the sky tower at CP. Nice views up there.

Sky tower is a nice ride. It just goes slowly up the pole, revolving around it. Then it spins slowly at the top for a few minutes, before it comes back down. Great views, and great opportunities to take unique pictures of the park. Yes it is $3 per person. It's an enclosed thing.

It was $3 when I rode it in 97.Nice to see the price hasnt changed,but then again i dont think it is worth anything more than $ 3.
