Hi - Could anyone tell me when the best times to check the inventory for my dates are? I am checking back on all of the RSG auctions all the time to see if there are any recommended resorts during Oct 1-9, but they've remained the same for quite a few days now.

Any chance that more will come available in the coming weeks? Anyone have experience with checking this too?

(of course most of the resorts look fine to me, but I haven't heard these mentioned like I have Silver Lake, Orange Lake, Vistana, etc.) -- I was hoping to luck into one that people talk about a lot on these boards! :bounce:

The inventory for RSG auctions don't usually come up until one month or 2 weeks out. I have rarely seen Sheraton Vistana or OLCC come up on an RSG auction, perhaps only once or twice in the couple of years I've been watching skyauction. You'd have a better chance with Cypress Pointe, and an even better chance with Summer Bay or Silver Lake.

Out of all those you've listed Snoopy, in what order would you rate them in? (best being at the top)

Thanks
Wendy

Of those three, I've only stayed at CPGV. I think all 3 are comparable. I think they are considered 3 stars, whereas Vistana and OLCC perhaps rated a bit higher as they have more amenities.

There is a poster here named Lisa P., I have seen her rate timeshares from best to worst, I think she is pretty well familiar with many in the orlando area. I've trusted her judgement over the years - she is always accurate in her assessment. You might try doing a search on her name to see if she has rated those that are available in the RSG auctions.

My personal opinion is Vistana is much nicer than OLCC. We stayed at OLCC last year, and although it is a nice place, it does not have as much to offer as Vistana, such as pools and restaurants. Our condo was much larger and cleaner at Vistana, and overall the resort is more attractive. The only reason I would recommend OLCC over Vistana is if you are a golfer, it's definitely geared towards that. We were in an older section of OLCC, maybe if we had been in a newer unit it would have made a difference. We stayed 3 extra nights added onto a timeshare week and were told we had to move to a different section for those nights. But they moved us just a few units down the same street in the exact same type of unit. That was a pain, having to pack up everything just to move down the street.
