Skull Island Reign of Kong Queue! (Spoiler)

From what I read on the employee preview it has only two TM for the live action for the ride
Not all guests will encounter the live TM on the ride

I don't see the correlation to Hhn at all

Go on some rides in the parks and you will encounter things you weren't expecting to be there
That doesn't make me or others on the ride stay away from particular rides

JP river adventure has a final drop that a newbie would not expect , T2 has segments of loud noises when the side fighters shoot the guns in the show, seat in Shrek drop and move without warning, etc
Many rides have a surprise element in them that was not expected
Rides that do have a portion of surprise have signs listed at the ride and in the park maps to alert all riders in advance

For me having two TM working on the Kong set would be easier to handle than to look up and have Kong in my face with his banana breath
Lol

Not only that, but Mummy typically has a person that is in the queue that will be hidden in the darkness and sometimes scare fellow guests. So, this won't be the first attraction to have this. Heck, they even have a cast member usually in the HM that will sometimes spook guests. Last time, I went into the queue of the Mummy I forgot about this and got spooked, which is rare for me, and while I was giving him my EP to scan, he didn't, and just let me go. Probably felt bad for me.

:rotfl2:

My son is SO excited for this ride, but does get a little spooked by things jumping out at him (otherwise he's a daredevil). I told him about the cast members jumping out. He said, "eh, I'll just hide behind YOU in the line. No biggie." LOL

The article speaks about how they will more than likely have scare actors trained to watch their surroundings and be a little more selective on who they scare. If that's the case, that just might work. So, we'll just have to see.

I have a feeling this will either stay and work out, or it'll end up being like the Knight in the HM at WDW that lasted only one summer.

A ride is a ride people who wait on lines expect the unexpected if someone thinks their child or spouse can't handle just don't go on or swap out . My kids are 9 and they can't wait to go on this ride especially my daughter who is a Kong fanatic from the time she was born.

Also, they will also be posting a warning about the unique queue with the typical warnings they have on signs. It's kind of like Horror Make Up Show, where the show itself does contain a parental guidance warning posted there, as well as online. Like @babesboo99 said, there is always child swap.

On a random note, I wonder if this ride will have a single rider line. I know it's a unique ride vehicle as it contains so many seats, but typically the more thrilling rides have single rider lines. It would also be another way to avoid the queue if someone was really that worried about someone jumping at them. As typically, the single rider queue is much shorter and not that uniquely themed. Haha.

I can't wait to learn more from actual riders. I am excited but if the queue is a little scary and I have my 3 year old in line with me (as is normally the case even when going to child swap) I may have to wait outside rather than experiencing the queue. I have no issue with that, just rather know so as a parent I can determine if the ride will work for them. I was initially optimistic since the height requirements are under 40" that both can go on the ride but I worry if the therapy bill in the future is not worth it LOL. My oldest went to the aquarium once and saw an animatronic gorilla and never went back. Yes i see the irony in this :) but kids grow out of fears right? I have time, this may be one that I have to try first and determine if it works for the boys. Fingers crossed someone is able to put a video on youtube, this is a time where I need the spoilers.

It looks like there will be single rider for Kong. There are two signs above the ride entrance: the standard "Attraction Entrance" on the left and "Single Rider Entrance" on the right.

When a new ride first opens, it does not usually have the express lines operating

Only fair to wait for that in order to let everyone to have an equal chance at the ride

It is new and everyone will be in line to ride it

One poster stated an express line is designated for the ride

It's interesting since some new rides at Universal have opened with express and some haven't. Forbidden Journey, Gringotts and Rip Ride Rockit did not open with express but Mummy and Transformers did open with express. So it's anybody's guess if Kong will open with express or not. We haven't seen any special signs designating it.

It probably depends on how popular they think the attraction will be as a whole more than likely. If they hypothesize that the attraction would be flooded with people in EP for an extended amount of time (meaning after weeks, or months pass) they might pass on the idea of giving the attraction EP.

Considering the fact that Gringotts single rider line often gets closed sometimes due to too many people using it as a way to getting to the ride quicker. After so many people get in the single riders line, you might as well just join the regular line, as the line itself doesn't move much since it's only to fill empty seats. Typically it is the quicker way to join the ride, but honestly, it doesn't take much for it to get to the point that you might as well turn around and go in the actual line itself. At least in that one you move at a regular pace. I can't fathom the amount of people who go into the line with the thinking they're getting there quicker, when in reality they're going to wait even longer if they have all the people in front of them in the staircase and they're behind even the place where they keep the glasses. If you're all the way back there, there's no reason to stay there. I remember one time I saw the line and walked back saying, "It's too long," when someone asked why I was going back. It was a group of people and one of the guys said, "Don't listen. You get on the ride right above the staircase." Um, yes, that's true and technically the line might be shorter, but what, you're going to have one person get out of line maybe once every five minutes, maybe two, tops three and you're almost at the beginning?

Sorry, kind of got off topic... That being said, I personally think that's why they chose certain rides to not have EP while they first open, because quite honestly, it would just be flooded with people if the ride itself is already insanely popular. It would especially not work due to EE, as anyone who has EE would more than likely have EP as well, since most EE guests are typically staying on property. It would just essentially make EP not so much an EP anymore.
