Skipping the baggage check

I don't carry in it in my pocket. I have a small cross body bag that is basically a phone holder with space for cards. My husband puts it in precariously in one of his pockets (it's a bit big, but it's only for bag check) and we go through the no bag line. Then I take it back, and put it crossbody again. It literally holds my phone and credit cards and maybe a lip balm--like this one:

Question for the women: where are you finding cargo shorts with deep enough pockets for your smartphones? The last pairs I had were from Old Navy many years ago and wore them until they were no longer fit for public display.

Many moons ago... I got some colorful camo pants from the local Army/Navy surplus store. One pair was autumn colors (orange, red, and yellow), another was purple variations and then other pair was a blue variation. They worked great! Unfortunately, now I'm a bit too pooh-sized for that option anymore.
