Skipping Studios with Newbies

I will be staying for 2 weeks, but my Newbies(all adults) will have 5 1/2 days in the parks. So thinking of skipping Disney Studios. They aren't into Frozen nor Star Wars(what???), so thought I would see if they want to spend 2 days at MK, 1 day at AK, 2 days at Epcot(during Food and Wine). They will have non-hopper tkts. Figuring Magical Express will pick them up at 2pm for 5:30pm flight. I guess we could go to DS morning of travel day back.

What do you think?

If they like thrill rides then I would take them on departure day just to ride RnR and ToT! Also I think it is a great park to shop in for last minute souvenirs before departing.

I would make it a half-day, so they can ride Tower of Terror and Toy Story Mania and Rock N Roller Coaster. If they're into that , that is. You can always stay and eat lunch there and then hop to another park.

Where will you be staying? I would be very tempted to hit DHS on that 1/2 day. Do FP for TSMM, and then two others they might like. Be sure to leave the park in plenty of time to get back to the resort though. If it's a resort that is close to DHS, then it will be easier. With a 5:30 flight, DME p/u will be around 2:30..give or take 15 mins on either side. That means they need to be back at their resort by 1:45, 1:30 is better, which means leaving the park by 12:30, latest.

Just my personal opinion but at WDW or USO I wouldn't be skipping any parks but I certaintly wouldn't be skipping the parks if I had never been before (though I would prefer getting Hoppers myself). Have they looked into if Park Hoppers would be a better fit for them?

Why don't you have them at least look over Disney's website for offerings available at DHS including rides, shows, etc by themselves so they have just their own input and not others. If literally nothing appeals to them and they are ok with skipping then you're golden.

I agree with others, I wouldn't skip it, especially for first timers. Also agree maybe hit the headliners as a half day or upgrade to hoppers since it is a shorter visit.

DHS has 3 of the best rides in WDW and some of the best meet and greets, not to mention both night time shows are awesome. I don't know why people would want to skip it, each to their own I guess!
