We will be at the world from 12/21 thru 12/28, planning for sure not to attempt MK on 12/25. Are the other parks a good option? Or what are some other good things to do. We will have DVC AP's so multiple parks are an option.

I like visiting the Resorts. Last year we used Disney Transportation and Resort hopped to see the decorations.

We were there last year for Christmas, and after spending the week freezing, our last full day was Christmas Day and it was actually sunny and about 75 degrees, so we got up and opened a couple of gifts, had a nice breakfast in our OKW villa, then all 12 of us went to the main pool for a couple of hours. It's lovely to look back at our pictures and say 'look, we're at the pool on Christmas Day!' Plus, we heard some of the parks were full to capacity before lunch time, so we stayed away and just enjoyed time together at our resort.

I bet resort hopping will win out, plus a nice lunch or dinner. We can hope for pool weather :)

Take a Resort Tour! Look at the decorations and time it to where you will end up at the Grand Floridian in the early evening/dinner time to listen to the big band play some Christmas carols. I believe there are occasionally some carolers that come in to the resort during the week of Christmas but obviously no announcements have been made about that. You could also time it so that you end up at the Polynesian beach for fireworks. It's like the best spot to watch the fireworks from outside the park. Everything is going to be busy, no matter where you go on property, but if you were going to try to go to a park in the morning/afternoon before you go resort hopping, stick to DHS and DAK and go with a mission to enjoy the atmosphere and the company of your family. Don't expect to go on too many rides. Just enjoy yourself. Enjoy!

The last time we were there at Christmas (09), we went to Animal Kingdom in the morning. It wasn't too busy, but did get busy as we were leaving at around noon.

We then went back to our hotel and changed for dinner (Artist's Point), we got to Wilderness Lodge early, looked around had drinks, photos taken and then dinner.

We've spent the last two Christmases at Disney, and we're doing it again this year. We like to sleep in a bit on Christmas morning. When the kids wake up, we open gifts and then head to the pool. Around early evening we head to the Magic Kingdom. The past two years the lines haven't been bad at all, so we've closed the park down Chrismas night. Not sure yet what we're doing this year. We're creatures of habit, though, so I'm sure the MK will be involved. :)

I think I would spend the day by the pool :) Or play mini golf at Winter's Summerland. Epcot would be fun, too.
