Question regarding skipping the daily mousekeeping service. Do they still come in to restock towels and pick up the trash after a certain number of days or do we need to call for them as we need them?

I don't need my bed made everyday or even new towels everyday so I'm trying to decide if we should skip the daily service or if it will be a hassle to remember to call them for new towels. We'll be there for 13 night. So I'm gonna need new towels and my trash emptied at some point during our stay.

They don't come unless you call them. They might leave you clean sheets, but they probably won't make the bed for you.

We've skipped Mousekeeping on our last couple of visits. You can still request ALL the things that you need and run out of that they normally restock each day. Coffee, TP, empty trash, soap, towels etc. They just don't make daily visits to make up the bed and restock. We have been fine with that and are planning to do it again for our March visit. When we needed restocking of supplies we called in the morning before leaving for the parks and there was a large bag of what we needed there when we returned that evening. We used the gift card as a nice snack fund! :)

They will still do the room check, so remember that. On our last trip they took the trash out when they checked our room. They don't always do that, though.

We grabbed towels and cups from the housekeeping carts that were out and about.

All you need to do is call for whatever you need and they will deliver for you. As far as trash, we just bagged up ourselves and set it out by a trash can or asked them to take it with the room check. We tip the housekeeping runner.

Exactly right. We don't tend to be that messy in our room so it has been a nice option to take the gift card and skip the daily mousekeeping. They will provide plenty of anything you need and I've never had anyone seem annoyed or put out by it. And like you said, we tip them when they bring add'l supplies that we need.
