So last night I say to Hubs - Yay I only have 3 more pages to finish up my 2001 album and he says WHAT ? and I repeat myself and he is like wasn't that your first trip and I say yes and he say why are all those others one done? and I say well you get bored with one and move one or just dont have time to finish and forget where you were things like that and he just keep looking at me like I was crazy

soooooo.. Just wondering do you skip around when completing albums.. I have for family albums 2001 almost done, 2002 DONE, 2003 not started, 2004 DONE, 2005 3/4 done, 2006 DONE. for Solo trips I have 2005 DONE, 2006 & 2007 not started. plus in the works is my wedding album..

I skip around a lot as well. I'm so far behind I'll never catch up so I scrap what I feel like scrapping

Ditto :thumbsup2 and I take a lot of pictures (I love photography) so I'll definately never get caught up, unless I get a lot more productive ;)

I do sometimes, if I have a couple years to work on, will do all of one subject ie: birthdays, dance recital, holidays etc that way I don't have to take out stuff again to work on the same subject.

I have to work on 2008, 2009 and this year. got all my disney caught up a couple months ago!

My first ever album was a Disney vacation one. Then I went through and did an album of our family vacations since DS(17) was born, then startd "catching up" doing an album for each boy. So I'm effectively "caught up"......unless you consider all the years before dH and I were married, my childhood etc.;) I do dig back now and then - I did an album about DH's family, so the bosy have a record of their Hungarian heritage (I want to do one of my family but I'm relying on my mum to pull out some old photos and she's not very good about letting things go - she's done a lot of research into our history but actually sort through a pile of photos and put them in an album even - no way!:headache:)

I skip around A LOT! Otherwise I get bored and my creativity suffers.

Totally skip around. I lose my mojo if I work on one project for to long.

ETA: I get a little sad when I finish an album too so I try to prolong it as long as possible.

Nope, I don't skip around. My pictures would be an absolute MESS if I did that. I am still on 2008, but I am OK with that!

I skip around all the time. I tend to plan out what pages I'm going to do, and order those pictures. I always order more than I can actually get done when I have time. And then, next time I have a scrap window, I want to do some new stuff (or more recently, I wanted to do some new baby stuff, and not just DS stuff). So yes, I skip around. I have all my digital pictures organized, and keep a running list of what I need to finish on each album, so I still have some sense of order - but I need to work on what I feel like doing at the time.

Yeah I can see myself doing the dance.

This years Disney album is 98% of the way done. I know my creative brain needs deadlines, so I'm forcing myself to have them. No more than 2 projects at a time.:lmao:

Of course making things with the Cuttlebug for future projects doesn't count.

I think I would dance around if I ever finished one. Right now my goal is to finish the pics from our last cruise in 2008 before our next cruise in March 2011. It's not going well.

Anytime I think I'm going to work on it something comes up. Last weekend I went into my room and my son followed me. I have converted the old play room into my Disney/scrapbooking room, but he won't give it up completely and calls it "Our Office". So he follows me in and decides he wants to rearrange the room. He's 9 and his moving things around just created a whole other mess for me, so no scrapbooking completed, but some things thrown away.

Maybe when work is slow next month I can get in there and work on it while he's at school and can't rearrange anything.

Absolutely! I recently finished our cruise albums from 2008 and 2009. I could go on to 2010 but I have had enough of cruise scrabpbooking for a bit. Time to move on to something else.
