Headed to DW next week. We have a reservation at Skipper Canteen for lunch. We usually do counter service for lunch since we do the dining plan. I figured this was a good opportunity to try something new, but I can’t eat spicy food. Any recommendations? I have seen videos where you can get a different sauce on the tastes like chicken.

I have never eaten anything there that I would consider even mildly spicy, as in chilli/pepper spice. You can sometimes taste coriander and cumin ... those sort of flavours but they are very subtle. And you can always ask for any sauce to be served on the side.

A fourth here—nothing we had was spicy. The curry was flavorful but not hot.

You can get the sauce on the side or not at all with the chicken for sure and the pork i think. It comes with rice and you could get fries also last time I went, so I got both! I do not eat things that are spicy and am really picky. I really enjoyed it and have another reservation coming up.

The Perkins noodles have some heat, which I love, but get that others may not.

OP you can ask your server about heat levels, and request sauces on the side. The cachapas app is a good dish without heat, as is the chicken.

How Spicy is one of the more difficult things to determine, since it's so individual. For me, extra pepperoni on a pizza is often too hot for me (the four lonely pieces on a Pinocchio Haus flatbread is more my tolerance), so I'm on the far end of the sensitive side. The first time I ate there, I had something (I forget the exact dish) that was Berber Spice encrusted, and that was way out of my tolerance level. The second time, I had the steak, and that was fine.

I ordered “Tastes Like Chicken” and found it to be very spicy/hot. Even the rice was spicy.
The server brought me some plain rice, and it was an improvement. I would suggest you let your server know you don’t want spicy/hot food and she would likely be able to recommend something or even have the chef alter it for you.

I was about to say that the noodles were bland and I wouldn’t order them again. But, I see a couple have said they were mildly spicy. I didn’t think anything was spicy there.

Huh, must depend on the day. Nothing at WDW has heat so I was excited to get some via the noodles. But they were also swimming in the chili garlic sauce so again, maybe just the prep that day.

I agree, my 14 year old son (who lives on Flaming Hot Cheetos) thought the noodles were a bit spicy. I thought they were as well. Ours also had a lot of sauce.

Some ppl can't take it hot, I know....(if so, you really want to avoid vindaloo... :) )
