Sailed October 16 and when I left Pennsylvania I had EVERY INTENTION of getting on the Skyride in St Thomas. I had seen the web site about it and that was what I wanted to do as soon asI got there. While walking to it a gentleman stopped us and asked if we needed a taxi. When we told him what we were doing he told us what he had to offer.
For $20.00 each (now keep in mind the Skyride is $16.00 each) he would take us to not one stop like the Skyride does but to THREE. As e were standing there I was a bit worried about how this would be but thought if it was too bad then I could do the Skyride when we got back. What he did for us was wonderful. We stopped and got the exact pictures we would have gotten at the top the the skyride all the ships in port. He took us to a shop at the top of another place where we were looking down at Megan's Bay, and last we were at the highest point on the Island and you could see everything. Durring the drive he pointed out all kinds of things and it wasn't busy roads. Very HILLY and kind of strange with the drining on the wrong side thing but it was WONDERFUL and I would suggest this to anyone going to St Thomas. when I get my pictures on here I will put a link and you can see all the ones I got from all our stops. There were also shops at every stop where you coud get drinks and do a bit of shopping if you would like. We stayed at each stop for at least 15-20 minutes.
Just thought I would let you know there is an option to the Skyride if your willing to take the chance with something a little different and only for a couple dollars more.
