I ran over to Kohl's tonight because of their "Extra! Extra! Specials" and left completely disappointed. The regular prices of their Imaginext toys are so much higher than the manufacturers prices that even with the 30% off, they're still more expensive. I got up the Fisher-Price website in the store and couldn't believe the difference. A toy that was at Kohl's for $22.99, was listed as costing $14 on the Fisher Price site. The Fisher Price site wasn't showing sale or discounted prices. So buying the item at Kohl's with 30% off would have still cost more than what Fisher Price has it for.
When I politely asked about the price difference at the Service Desk, the women there replied that "We offer a lot of sales and coupons so we have to mark up the prices." That sentence pretty much sums up why I won't be shopping there again.
