Skip EMH and go morning after?

I was planning to take advantage of all of the morning EMH that were available during our four day stay but after reading some threads I am now wondering if I should avoid the EMH and go for the mornings after previous evening EMH. I'm still going to do some of the evening ones, especially Animal Kingdom because I heard good things about that one. I was just wondering about the morning scheduling. Does anyone recommend anything?

Thanks! :cool1:

I've always been happy with EMH at any given park. Once, at the MK I (and my guests) had a very nice time alone with Mickey! We got incredible photos. The sort you see on the commercials.

I would have to agree on the morning after idea. When we were there a few weeks ago, the ONLY time a park(Epcot) was crowded was on an early entry day. And, it was crowded all day! The other parks on other days were fine. I'll never go to an early entry park again.

Our EMH experience was that the parks were more crowded for the evening hours then before closing. I think what it was more was that there are only a few rides open so everyone is trying to get on those. We stayed for EMH at Epcot, got to Test Track pretty quickly after the fireworks, we had already gotten our wrist bands and there were a LOT of people waiting in line to get their bands. We had a 12 minute wait to get into the briefing room at TT (we timed it). The sign said 50 minute wait but the line wasn't even outside the building. Once we got through the ride, the line was a mile long and probably a 50+ minute real wait. All the rides were like that. I would go early the next morning.

We experienced the same at the end of May. I'm sticking with my new plan (parks on non-EMH days) until late fall. I'll reevaluate then. EE always worked so well for us in the past. However, I never thought it was advertized all that well. EVERYONE knows about EMH.

We went on May 21 (Sat) to AK on their EMH morning. I have never seen AK that busy, it really was crowded by midday. Never had to use fast passes there, but did for the Safari. Having said that we did do most of the rides in the morning, and the wait times were really not bad (15 mins or so for Dinosaur and Kali River Rapids) It was just the safari that had a 60 min queue when we got round to it at about 11.30. There just seemed like a lot of foot traffic. It wasn't as busy as the other parks I am sure, but I am so used to it being the less crowded park.

Yeah, we're not going to be there for an AK morning EMH, but only an evening one. I heard that these are manageable, but then again it is going to be July! :rotfl:

Thank you for all of your help, it's so nice having your questions answered so wonderfully by a group of people who care and really want to help.

Thanks!

I guess with the introduction of EMH, the old schedule of which parks were busy on which days has been thrown out the window! Here's what the old info said:
Sunday busiest park is MGM / Early Entry is MK- so choose AK or Epcot

Monday Busiest is MK and AK/ Early Entry is AK- choose Epcot or MGM

Tuesday Busiest is Epcot and AK/ Early Entry is MGM obvious Choice is MK

Wednesday Busiest is MGM and AK/ Early Entry is Epcot- Choose MK

Thursday Busiest MK/ Early Entry MK- Any other park

Firday Busiest is Epcot/ Early Entry AK- MK or MGM are good choices

Saturday Busiest is AK/ Early Entry is MGM- Choose MK or Epcot

Is there any truth to any of this info, or should I just delete it! :D Also, I read that it's a good idea to hit a park that had the evening EMH the night before. Are there any other rule of thumbs out there? Thanks so much!

I wonder if any of it will work. With so many people thinking the same i think those who have no pland and just go and do what they want when they want will win.

Just my 2cents.
