I haven't had the bottled version, just the original version as she described it on one of the shows (tequila, fresh lime juice and triple sec).

As for the only thing she drinks, it's no surprise. It's product placement for her. She's just putting her brand in front of everyone! Every time she says "I'll have a skinny girl margarita", she's reminding you it's out there so that maybe you'll buy a bottle.

I bought a bottle at Wegman's the other day. I thought it was good. It has good flavor without the icky sweetness of regular margaritas. It's pretty strong though IMO so a little on the rocks was plenty for me. At $12 a bottle it's a pretty good deal as well.

Slightly off topic, but does anyone remember the WW recipe for margaritas? Wasn't it 1 package crystal light lemonade, lime juice, crushed ice and a jigger of tequila or something similar?

Bethenny no longer owns the brand,Skinny Girl, Beam Brands bought it out. It was reported to have been bought for a large amount, not sure if it was a cash sale or for stock. Beam Brands also owns Sauza Tequila.

I am not a margarita drinker at all so I haven't tried it but I heard mixed reviews of the drink. I have to give her a lot of credit - she shamelessly promotes the brand and she found a niche in the liquor/beverage market that she was able to fill.

I like the Skinnygirl margarita both the bottled kind and if you order it at a bar.

If I had started a brand like that I would also promote it as many times and ways I could....especially if I thought it could make me $120 million!!!

Skinnygirl Margarita is an alcohol beverage made by Natural foods chef Bethenny Frankel. She has a show on Bravo Called Bethenny Ever After. Living here in NYC I have tried both bottled and bar.It is available in most NYC liquor stores. It can be a little strong in the bottle but over ice it better. From what I hear she is developing Skinnygirl Sangria.

Ive had it and love it just wish it was easier to find here in Northern NJ! Sometimes shop rite liquors has it but bottle king never seems too..

I have purchased it a few times. It was recently on sale for $9 a bottle. It is funny that someone posted they thought it was strong. I thought it was weak. It's okay, but seems really sweet to me. I'd rather make my own gimlet
