Following up on my missing certificate thread...

I have sat the relevant exams and done the learning to officially display the following badges of practice. But I'm not an expert. Well, maybe proficient in Hypnosis (that's my profession) and NLP, but when it comes to CBT and Life Coaching, I have a limited amount of knowledge. They are supplementary to the field of hypnosis.

My question is this. Having done the studying and passed the exams, but not being an expert… do I have the ethical right to display the following four rosettes? They're intended for what I've described, but could it be misleading? The site is very clearly about hypnosis.

I intend to do further learning in CBT and Life Coaching no matter what.

If you have put in the work and completed the certification, then you should be entitled to use them. How you use them may depend on what you want your customers to focus on. For example, on a brochure you might really talk up your hypnosis certifications, and then mention in passing that you are also certified in these other things which can be used in conjunction with the hypnosis to get the desired results.

As it is, I'm only currently displaying the two main ribbons - hypnotherapy and NLP therapy, the two are very close to each other.

Mods, am I allowed to display my pending official page?

Here, various psychotherapies such as CBT would be practiced by psychologists, registered social workers or credentialed counselors; all having to be licensed by their respective governmental oversight bodies. I would strongly urge you not to dabble. If you encounter anyone who needs that level of care, do them the kindness of referring them to a qualified professional.

I agree. I have arrived at the conclusion that I WON'T be displaying all those badges, save for the hypnotherapy one. I've already modified my websites, current and pending, to reflect this fact.
