Sketchers settlement checks!

Just curious what Sketchers this is about

If you purchased the Shape Up or Toner Sketchers. They advertised they would help tone you while walking which was proven up be untrue so a class action case was brought and if you purchased the shoes you are supposed to get a portion of the settlement money.

Good for all of you who joined the CA suit.... Sadly, I didn't place a claim even though DH and I both own a pair (and I never liked mine - they still look new), but didn't file a claim because although I still have the shoes, I don't have the receipts. I figured it would be a bust without the receipts. I don't save receipts for sneakers. :confused3

Got my check, received $70.58 for 2 pair. Nice surprise when I opened the mailbox. Woohoo!!

$70.58!! This is going towards our new stroller for WDW and unlike the Sketchers that actually will help me get in shape :)

I didn't have the receipts for our 3 pair, so I submitted pictures like they asked. Have any of you got a check without submitting receipts?

My son's girlfriend didn't have receipts either but she got her check yesterday.

I submitted this way back when it was posted on here without a receipt. Did you get an email asking for a receipt or pictures? I am wondering if I am out of luck since I didn't get an email or it went to junk and I missed it. Is there a way to find out if I am on the list?

I just got a check for $34.43. I'd started the process and then realized I didn't have the receipt, AND couldn't take a picture because I didn't have a camera. They sent me the refund anyway! I am shocked!

We had no receipt and submitted no pictures and we just received a check for $68.86 for both of our pairs of shoes.

Thank you thank you for mentioning this. We were out of network when I went into labor and gave birth. Needless to say we submitted for this lawsuit as well. In the meantime we had moved and I totally forgot about this. I am getting things sorted now to have our address updated etc.

Good luck! I moved two years ago from New York to North Carolina. About a year ago, I noticed a few things that I had never updated. I notified both DeBeers and Heathnet.

Funny, the check for Healthnet came in my minor daughter's name. But I was very surprised, as it was actually several thousand dollars, and apparently the check was only for about half of the total award (I think 58%, but I could be wrong).

Don't get me wrong, we spent a fortune for uncovered medical expenses back then. This by no means covers all of that, but it was nice to get something back:woohoo:

I am also curious. I submitted the claim for two pair, without pictures or a receipt. I do not believe I was ever asked for either. I also have not received a check yet.

As for a picture, that would not be good as the shoes are long gone (again, we moved, and they did not make the cut).

I don't have an itemized receipt, but I could probably dig up a credit card statement with a charge from the Sketchers store at Roosevelt Field. I don't know it that would work or not.

Too bad, the money would have been nice.:confused3
