Sizzix Slide Mount Die

I saw some of you mention the slide mount die in the Sizzix post. What do you use this die for? Or maybe a better question is how do you use it? I hadn't heard of this one before and went to take a look at it on the sizzix site. My Scrapbook and Stamp Store is offering a class to make a "Slide Mount Tag Booklet". So, please explain this technique that I need to learn about.

You can decorate them or leave them plain and use them to frame a picture, sticker, small embellishment (like a charm). I've got a Pinecone Press book Getting Dressy With Slide Mounts that has a ton of ideas. I know that 2Peas has lots of ideas. Here are a couple of links to some Disney ones that I've made:

Well, the original ones are/were for slides, but they've ended up as scrapbook elements - like many decorative elements have

I forgot to mention that words are also good inside the slide mounts. I've seen sheets for purchase (like at Scrap Your Trip) but you could make your own.
