Sizzix Embossing Folders?

And how to use them.

I got my order from Sizzix.com and if you ordered $25 + you got a free embossing folder thing. Mine is "love you".
What did everyone else get??

How do you use them? I assume that you open up the folder, put your paper in there and put it through your machine like you would a sizzlit alphabet, is this correct?

Now that brings me to my next question. Is a folder only good for so long?? I ask because I see replacement folders in packs of 10 and wonder why.

I'm anxious to hear what everyone else gets too! The last time I ordered & got the free embossing folder I got the chili pepper. I know sweet maxine got that too. (We ordered the same week.) I was just hoping I wouldn't get another chili pepper. Hopefully I'll get "love you" also!

I'll have to go look for my directions...after I finish making decisions about my CJ. Or maybe someone else will answer & I won't need to excavate my scrap pile!

The first time I ordered I got "Peace." The second time, I had collected a few of the folders, so I specifically listed on my order the ones I already HAD and asked kindly if they'd not duplicate what I had. Figured it wouldn't hurt to try anyway! I ended up with "How Kind of You"....and yes, it was one I didn't have.

They won't work in the Sidekick. You must have a Sizzix and the Sizzix adapter. You're right....you put your paper in it and then slide it under and press. It recommends you put the brass stencil side down first, put your paper in, then close on top of that.

I really like mine. Gives cards and things a great look!

I ended up with the "from" folder. I guess we can swap them here if we get something that someone else would rather have; or if we get two of the same. I placed a second order the next day. I hope I get something different on that order.

I ended up getting "From:" Was hoping for something I would actually use but who uses a "From:" when you don't have the "To:"? Oh well - shouldn't complain about free stuff I guess.

My order finally came today! I got "Love you" also. I'm adding it to the list of "DIS Sizzix holdings" that I have. If anyone needs to trade, let me know!

I got "Peace" for my first order and I should be getting my second order today. I hope it's something different! "Love you" would be okay with me!
