Sizes of Princess Costumes

My DD really wants to buy a princess costume when we get to the parks. She did this last time in '04 and had a blast with all the attention she got wearing it; however she is now 9 years old and is a size 14/16. Does anyone know if the costumes come in a 14/16?

Thanks for your responses! We leave on Friday for our trip and she asked me this morning if I could post this question and did I think there would be any responses before we left. Little does she know how "active" this board is!

I'm not sure of the sizes for sure. I only have a ds5. You might be able to call and ask. or maybe disneyshopping.com might have them? Have a great trip!

I dont know about exact sizes but they go up to a large child (no extra large) and this may sound funny but i'm a six (adult) and i can just about fit into the large child...arms are a bit small but I can get it on...lol..

Check on ebay. There are some ebay stores that specialize in costumes and they usually have a buy it now and you could have it shipped quickly. Good luck!

I have the same issue. My 8 year old daughter is in a 12 or 14 -- and costumes are so difficult to find. We will be at WDW for MNSSHP -- so I am trying to find a costume for that plus something "princessy" for our dinner at 1900 Park Fare. I have looked online and on ebay -- and I don't see anything in the size range. I have even looked for a junior/teen costume (maybe something in an adult xs) -- and all I can find is "sexy teen" and goth stuff. What's up with that??!! So...PLEASE report when you get back about the range of sizes available there. Sorry I can't help!

My daughter who wears a 14-16 in girls is a Disney "Large" it SAYS 10-12 ... we bought the 10-12 last trip for younger daughter (when Disney SHopping had deluxe Cindy for $14.99 last year) we thought we were out of luck for the older girl since they only went up to 10 when it arrived she was swimming in it older DD tried it on and it was even big on her so we ended up ordering her (she usually wears a 8-10) a size 6X thats what fit her. Its like the kids T shirts oldest DD can wear a L in Disney but usually I buy her an XL

Back from a MAGICAL TRIP!! Words could never describe how much fun we had. I know why we all get so excited over a trip to the World, it REALLY is that much fun! Good news: the large costumes fit my daughter. She is a size 16 and we tried the 12 on her and it fit just fine.

Glad you had a wonderful vacation. Just wondering if you could give me some idea of the price ranges for princess dresses? DD is 2 and this will be her first princess dress. I have looked online but was thinking of waiting until we get there to try it on her and so I don't have to bring it with us, but I'm just wondering if they charge much more money if you wait and buy them there? Thanks for your help!
