Are the family suites 'big enough' for 3 kids and 2 adults?

Depends on your family needs. For my family we'd be absolutely fine, even with my grown up kids. We travel well together and at Disney especially usually on the go. A Queen and 2 Fulls plus two bathrooms.

Our Cars suite was great. Our kids were 5-8 and the boys shared a bed with no issues. Our daughter loved the murphy bed. Having two bathrooms was fantastic! If we weren't food court averse we'd stay there again, no problem.

We had a Nemo Suite in April. It was DH and I, and our kids were 11, 9, 15 months at the time. So, we had a crib and stroller in the room too, and we had plenty of space in there.

I fell the All-Star Music Suites have much more "living" room and a separate kitchenette and closets, which leaves a lot more room in the gathering area. AoA has a little desk/kitchentte area and a locker for a closet in living room. The 3 kids can all sleep in their own beds at ASMu vs. 2 of them having to share in the AoA suite.

You're giving up the "newness" of AoA so you need to look at what is more important. For us, we would always chose All-Star Music because of the space in the living room and the closet space.

Our Cars suite held me - 54 year old me plus a 25 and 24 year old, plus a 17 and a 16 year old -- no problem at all.

I think so - we've stayed at AoA in a Cars Suite and another time in a Lion King Suite and both worked well - there was plenty of space to add another kid, we had 2 teens when we stayed in them. Loved having 2 tv's, 2 bathrooms and enough sleeping space for all although I'd have a preferred a king bed in the bedroom.

Same at ASMU Family Suite - although my DD complained that the sleeper sofa there was uncomfortable so she didn't unfold it after the first night. She just put the sheets on the couch itself and slept that way.
