Am I correct in assuming that all of you 1 bedroom users do not use points on a weekend night for a 1 bedroom? I have booked a value 1 bedroom at AKV for 3 adults for a Friday/Saturday night, but that's all I was willing to go for for weekend points! Studio weekend points don't bother me as much.

When we bring the extended family, and it involves lots of air costs, we have stayed in a 2 bedroom over the weekend, but that's different.

I also wish I knew if most of you 1 bedroom people are families with at least 3. There are the died in the wool couples that need a king bed (you know who you are) but DH and I do enjoy our stays in studios. As long as I have a balcony, it's a wonderful vacation, I have a place to go and just chill out, that's great. DVC came too late to help us with our DS's naps when we took them to WDW. We spent afternoons in the hallway camped out by the door while they napped. Oh well...I see these numbers and I want to treat DH to a 1 bedroom stay, we had an OKW 1 bedroom once and yes, it was fabulous, but a luxury that I don't need to have very often.

PS. Yes, many have commented on who you are, but still more have voted than have stated just how many of you are in the 1 bedroom.

We've treated a lot of friends to a room when we go, so its mostly a studio for DW and myself and a studio for the other couple. Some alone time is a plus if you want to remain friends after the trip. When we travel with our 25 year old son, we get a 1BR and make him sleep on the pull out couch. I'm not sure what will happen when a DGF is in the mix, but assume separate rooms would be desirable. I'm sure DW would prefer a 1BR for ourselves and a studio for guests, but so far we haven't done that.

I voted 2 BR because I like them so much better, but actually we are about even with studios and 2 BR at 3 each.

The studio is fine for DH and I. We choose the 2 BR with the kids and their friends so we get that experience too and don't miss the extra amenities when we are doing the studio.

REally like the 2 BR at OKW and I think the BW studio is better than the OKW one.

Variety is nice, right? I also still book the regular resort rooms for some trips.

I guess I am not a purist?

1-2 ppl ~ studio (that way i can go 3x a year, & still have points to spend/give):thumbsup2
3-4 ppl ~ 1bdrm
4+ ~ 2 bdrm (if the 4 ppl are adults).

haven't done a grand villa, yet.........;)

our trips are never less than 7 days & i refuse to move on weekends, so 400 pts works well for us.

I usually get a studio to save on points to sneak in another partial trip in later
