How did you manage to adjust your frame of mind? I can't get past the idiot part!:rotfl2:

After reading some more of their posts, I'm wavering again... or maybe just leaving :moped:

when Disney started the DVC program :thumbsup2 they made OKW large enough to be an ANCHOR resort for the rest of the DVC 1 resorts. If you can't get a room at any of the other DVC resort there is good old reliable OKW to get a room. And it work pretty good.

NOW here comes the ever large SSR also being used by Disney as an ANCHOR resort for the DVC 2 collection. IMO I don't think you will see another huge DVC resort in the DVC 2 until Disney decides to start DVC 3 collection sometime around 2025. :rotfl2:

wow, I never thought of that.

hmmmmmmmmmm

so dvc builds 2-3 smaller resorts "on- site" in prime locations CR, AK ?? and then takes SSR and the new resorts and makes them only bookable to the DVC2 owners, and pulls the dvc1 resorts away from the dvc2 owners.

I like it.

I hope for the SSR owners you are right.

Literally or figuratively?

I wonder how many of the people who have responded to this poll actually own at SSR.[...]
A good question, and I have another - perhaps better - question to ask: How many responders have actually stayed at SSR?

I remember the first time we drove through OKW, with long roads and many turns, I thought it was too big. Once we stayed there, however, and got a feel for the place and learned how to get around, it seemed to 'fit' better. IMHO, that is the same with SSR. People drive in the main entrance, curve here and there, past Carriage House, HRS, Comm Hall, Sales office, stop sign then finally to CP neighborhood - it seems a far trip. But once you're at your room, you realize that it's not really that far.

Time, as they say, will tell; I am, however, reassured by a fair amount of recent "Just stayed at SSR - liked it better than I thought I would" posts....

The one thing we notice with SSR (we have stayed there, do own there too) is that it feels bigger by car than on foot. With all the cross pathways and bridges and shortcuts, on foot it feels like a reasonable size but by car it seems like you drive forever due to the loop designs

Here's my Opinion:L

What difference does it make?? It's an individual thing, and if you don't like, don't stay there... :cool1:
no matter what the outcome, SSR will be what Disney planned. Having stayed, we think it's great.....

My 2 cents.

SSR is a very pretty place but it seems like something is missing there. We visited and the rooms are nice, the place is clean, and I would love to go to bed a night look out my window and see DTD. But to me,something just doesn't seem right.

With that being said, I own at OKW and love it while many hate it.

Also, there are very many BCV fans out there and I can't stand the place.

Hey whatever makes you happy is all that matters.
