Size of Room Safes

We are giving the kids tablet PCs for their birthdays, and they will be bringing them along for the road trip to keep them occupied on the 17 hour-drive each way. I do not want them using them once we are actually at WDW. But I want to keep them safe - so I'd rather not put them in our luggage while we are at the parks.

They are 7" tablets, so pretty small. BUT, the resort thread info says the in-room safes are VERY small (to fit wallets and possibly small purses). Does anyone know the exact dimensions of the safes? Will two 7" tablets fit? We are staying at All-Star Movies this trip. Thanks in advance!

I keep my iPad in it, plus wallet, passports, Jewlery etc. it will fit 2 tablets, just depends what other stuff you are putting in too. They aren't very deep.

You can see a picture here but there's not anything in the safe to give you an idea of the size.


I've fit my large laptop (14" x 10" x 2") in the room safe in both Pop Century and a LK suite at AoA so I'm pretty confident that two 7" tablets should fit as long as you don't have a ton of other stuff to go in. I usually have my wallet and mousekeeping envelopes in the safe along with the laptop.

I put my DH's Nexus 7 and my iPad into the room safe without any difficulty. I can also add a small wallet and my phone if I don't want to take them to the parks. Before we had the tablets, we put our laptop computer into the safe without any problem.

Leave them in a suitcase, and put a lock on the suitcase.

We fit my large wallet, a Kindle Fire, 2 DSi XLs and a case of games in our safe at Pop with ease. This year we will swap our Kindle for an iPad and add a 3DS XL to the collection. I fully expect them all to fit. May not take my whole wallet this year, though.
