size of rentals?

I have only rented a car like twice in my life, and they were both when I didn't have kids, so size never mattered.

We have three kids now, two in car seats, and have a full size rented for April. I was wondering what the difference in size is for full-size, intermediate and standard. They all state that they fit 5, so how much bigger can a full size possibly be? The pictures all look the same to me.

I don't think the overall size makes much of a difference. The space available for luggage does. With 5 of you in the car all of your luggage will have to fit in the trunk. If all you plan to take is a med. sized suitcase and a small one plus carry-ons, you'll be fine. If you plan on taking more luggage then you should consider upgrading to a larger vehicle.

I think that you might have trouble fitting all of you and the luggage in a car of any size. We also have three children and I know that we would not fit in a car with our luggage. We have two large suitcases and one pack-n-play. Good luck with your decision.
