Size of Bund Beds at AK

We have a standard room, (requested bunkbeds) at AK for New Year's Eve weekend. Has anyone used them, and if so, will they sleep adults? Our son and daughter still enjoy vacationing with us (it's free!) even though they are young adults. We are hoping that the bunkbeds will be okay for them since they do not want to sleep together. We have used 2 rooms at All Star before but wanted to try AK.

yes, my dd and ds slept in them 3 years ago. They were l8 and 21 at the time. No problems. However, if your kids are over 6 ft, I woldn't recommend it.

I am an adult and I slept on the bunk beds. My brother who is 6'3" also slept on them, it was a little tight for him but he said it wasn't that bad and he kinda enjoyed the bunk beds.

I can't say about weight level if the top bunk will hold an adult having no experience in the world of bunkbeds but i can say that i did sleep on the bottom bunk in our room at AKL. With only 2 adults we had the 1 big bed, bunkbeds and wasn't there a couch or something too LOL i had to sleep on the bottom bunk because i thought it was just too kewl and i was a sleepwalker as a child so never got bunks of my own but i did at disney!!!! :-D

i would forwarn whoever gets that bottom bunk to watch their head. i kept smacking mine on the top bunk if i went to get up quickly. ouch!

enjoy your stay at AKL, it's a wonderful and beautiful resort and we can't wait to go back.

Thanks so much for the replies!! The bunkbeds sound like they will work just fine! My son is 5'10' and my daughter is 5'7'' and they both are very slim, so weight will not be an issue.

our sons, ages 20 and 17 slept in them. we were really glad it was for only 2 nights. they are both 6 feet, and they were scrunched up. did not enjoy it at all. plus beds were hard. sounds like your children are the right size ,so that the length of the beds won't be a problem.

even with be scrunched up, they both said they preferred that to sleeping with each other in the same bed.

of course, we had spent the first 5 nights at the swan, and after sleeping in those beds, we are spoiled! I also thought my bed at akl was pretty bad.

Loved the resort, hated the beds.
