size of autograph book?

Is 3" x 5" too small for most characters to comfortably handle?

DS will be 9 on our trip and I really don't know that he will be into M&G's and we only have one character meal planned. Still, if he decides he wants to collect autographs I want to be prepared.

I know lots of people put lots of time and creativity into autograph books and I'm really impressed. I was thinking of going very low-key, though, and the simplest thing I thought of was a little spiral-bound set of notecards. Just plain 3"x5" cards.

We could go to 4"x6" if needed but I'm trying to minimize what we carry around.

Thoughts?
Is there something even simpler?

Well, the autograph books they sell in the parks are 4x6, so I would think that 3x5 would be a little small.

I printed 3x5 postcard size cards using the files found in the Disigners area for our last trip. The characters had no problem with them at all.
