HI,

We'll be going in January and can't wait to try Soarin' for the first time but...I'm a little worried. DH and I are two "pooh sized" adults and I'm just a little concerned about whether we'll have trouble "fitting in," so to speak. Anyone in similar circumstances who's been there and can comment?

Thanks much!
:goodvibes

honestly.. you wont have any problems at all!

I am also Pooh sized (3x, 50 waist, 6'1 and I had plenty of room.

If you fit in TT, Soarin is larger.

Along these lines...what about the mission to mars?? My little boy is ten and small I am 50 and "not so small" will we be able to ride together?

Again, not an issue. Individual seats with shoulder harness for each person.

psssst mission to mars is gone... but i'm sure you knew that.

I think the previous poster meant Mission Space ;)

Mission: Space is not gone. Mission to Mars is gone, and has been for about 15 years.

mission space is gone? Thank god..I went on that and it was horrible.

Am I one of the few that actually like Mission: Space? From the time DH and I board we can't wipe the smiles off our faces- I do think it's a pretty cool concept!

You must be one of the few who likes Mission Space! We were one of the casualties, the grassy area outside the ride looked like a 'battlefield' with all the folks laying around. Lesson learned for us, no more ignoring the warning signs any longer!!

i was very suprised-in a good way of course, i fit into everything and i even had room for my back pack, to hold it, be relieved no problems at all

I went on Mission Space once and that was enough to last me a life time! Now, I like to sit outside the exit (while my family rides) and watch the people exit the ride. Sometimes it is really funny! I saw a man with his little boy (looked to be about 5yrs old) exit the ride and the little boy was bouncing all over the place and dad looked pretty green and grumpy!

One time, while I was in the store shopping by the Electric Umbrella, a lady walked in after riding Mission Space and she was so sick! A really nice CM from the store took care of her and stayed with her until she felt like she could leave.

What a relief!!! to know that I'm not the only one who will never ride Mission: Space again!

I love thrill rides, and loved every other ride at WDW...but just watching the Disney Planning Video yesterday for fun, and seeing that ride just made my skin crawl again! That ride is sooooo powerful, I thought my heart was going to explode! LOL

I like shades idea of sitting outside, and watching everyones reaction when they come out. THAT will be a sight to see I'm sure!

On Soarin', a good hint is to make sure and pull the seat belt out before you sit down. It makes things much easier. The only ride I had any problems with is Test Track and only in the back seat.I always make sure and request the front seat now.

I am 6'4" and about a 3x size. (See the picture below in my signature line.)

That is one thing I like about Disney. I never have had any problems on rides. It has been awhile since I rode Space Mountain because I didn't want to bother with the babyswap. Now DD is old enough for that. I remember that being small. Is that a pooh size problem ride? Is there any that are a problem? :cool1:
