Ok - my first trip report - here goes .....
After MUCH planning[thanks to all of my DIS friends], we left the Manchester NH airport at 2PM on Saturday, June 24th. Direct, three hour flight, arrived to Magical Express desk at MCO just in time to catch the ME to POP.Uneventful ride to POP - checked in, and called Marge at wegoshop to let her know our room number. She was in line at Publix getting our order when I called! { I highly reccomend her}. Our grocery order arrived, we were unpacked and by 7:30, on the bus to EPCOT to eat and see Illuminations! Everyone got their favorite food, DH got Fish and Chips in UK, one DD got lo mein from China, and the other shared popcorn with me, after which we had Mickey Bars.{Diet? What diet? Nothing at WDW has calories!}After Illuminations, we went back to our room, set up a wake up call, and collapsed. Stay posted for Day 2 - Animal Kingdom, EE, and an invitation to be in the parade!

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for sharing.

Day Two -
Okay, Stitch and Mickey called and woke us up at 7, we ate a quick breakfast in the room[DH is one of the infamous mug men who shuffle down to the food court early every morning for java and cocoa and tea], we headed off to AK, I went to guest services for our voucher for the free EE pic I earned playing the online game, and we were on the bridge when they opened up the Oasis. We beat feet to EE and were through the queue and on the ride in under ten minutes! And then - the longest three minute ride of my life! Let's just say, I'm glad I did it but I doubt I will ever do it again...I SCREAMED LIKE A GIRL!
At noon we had a great lunch at RFC - salads and a VOLCANO!
The rest of the afternoon was spent on other various rides and attractions, and at about three we were going to head back to the hotel for a swim when my DD13 asked a CM to see his pins. He asked her if we were going to stay for the parade, and she said probably not, and he said would you stay if you got to be IN the parade? Well, DUH! Yes! He took us to another CM who told us when and where to meet her[3:30] and when we got there she was waiting for us and said they were deciding wheither or not to cancel[it was raining already]. We waited until about ten of 4 then she got a call on her radio saying it was cancelled. She offered the next day to us, but we had made plans already. It was cool to be asked though! {DH and DD16 were NOT as excited as DD13 and I were, so they were actually relieved and I didn't want to push my luck.}But ya know what? I coulda cried! Oh well!
Next installment - our day at MGM.....

That's too cool you got picked to be in the parade (too bad it was cancelled - at least too bad for your 13 DD). Enjoying your style of reporting - any pics you can post? :confused3

Our family would love to be in the parade!!! The cm said they just randomly pick someone, usually @ the gate when your walking in.

Me screaming on the EE! {And poor DD13 hiding....DD16 and Dh behind us wondering what our problem is.....................}

Too bad the parade got cancelled. That would have been really cool.

Thanks for posting.

Okay - Day Three - MGM
[By the way - still working on pics]
Decided not to try to get to MGM for opening, woke up all excited and did it anyway[much to DDs chagrin - teenagers DO like to sleep late, even in Disney!]
We decided to do anything we hadn't already done first, so we went on The Great Movie Ride while everyone else ran to RnR and ToT. What a charming ride! It's really more of a show. We really enjoyed it. Then we took the girls to the Narnia exhibit. DH and I had already seen it when we went to WDW for a long weekend in January, but they weren't with us and wanted to check it out - they were underwhelmed, as we were.when we first saw it.Then we went to see Indiana Jones, which none of us had done - AWESOME! DH thought it was great - so did the girls.
We had an ADR at SciFi, as that was new to us as well - what fun! The girls had the light up drinks, DH was thrilled with an adult beverage of the malted kind at this point, and I was very happy to sit my tokus down in yet more air conditioning. The themeing was terrific, and DH and I both kept commenting on how we were reminded of our childhhoods and family trips to the Drive In.{We are in our 40s, ya know!]
Then it was off to Beauty and the Beast - and the best part of this was the opening act, Four for a Dollar! What a kick! A very good, and entertaining a cappella group - even our girls kept raving about them.

Okay - next installment - WWTBAM - Play It - probably our last visit - sigh. And no, none of us got in to the hot seat.....
