Six Flags on weekends and Flashpass

I was recently drawing up our intinerary for California and I noticed that Six Flags was closed on the day we had planned for it No idea why I overlooked that in the first place but anyway! I've rearranged things a bit and it looks like we'll be visiting on a Sunday now. I ordered us some flashpasses and prebooked our parking in the hope of saving some time but I just wondered if anyone had any experience of Six Flags on weekends in September? (we'll be there on 28th) Is it horribly busy? We're planning to get there for opening and head straight to X2 (since the flashpasses don't include it) Any advice or strategies would be much appreciated We're a couple with no kids so we tend to be able to get from ride to ride fairly quickly, it's more the lines i'm concerned about.

We were there 2 weeks ago on a Saturday and Sunday and also had flash passes thinking it would be busy. We didn't really need to use them as it wasn't that busy. The only rides that had lines were X2 (and the lines for that were long!) and deja vous. All the rest of the coasters were walk on. I would suggest getting to the gate before opening, go straight to X2 (its easy to find, head to the left when entering the park and follow the crowds.) The only problem is that X2 might not be running as soon as the park opens, on the Saturday it opened 50 minutes after the park opened and Sunday it opened 25 minutes after the park opened. After X2 I would head to deja vous and then ride the coasters in any order after that. Viper and Superman the escape you also can't use flashpass on but they never had any lines at all anyway.

X2 is worth the wait if...

You have already gotten past going up stairs, and is probably at where the bridge is. Any longer, and I don't know lol.

Is Magic Mountain safe this time of year? I plan on going in a couple of weeks on Sat. I heard its a dangerous park with a lot of little jerks running around?

Me and my party arnt going to get mugged or jumped are we? (We tend to mind our own buisness)

From the reviews i've read online I get the impression that they've cleaned the place up and improved security compared to how things used to be.. I wouldn't have thought anyone would be at a huge risk of crime as long as they take the usual common sense precautions like not flashing around lots of cash of expensive electronics. I live in a fairly big city and both me and my bf are used to teens hanging round and trying to look tough and yes there are a few who go beyond that but it's not something I worry about, I figure most are just hanging out with their friends rather than setting out to cause trouble for others. Me and my bf are coaster addicts so it'd take a lot to stop us visiting Six Flags

It's safe there, no worries. Mugged and jumped is going overboard. They have beefed up their security, even have detectors before you enter.

It's a nice park.
