Six Flags Magic Mountain

We are planning on going to Six Flags on July 23, a Saturday during our California trip. We also plan on doing Universal the day before on Friday. Since both of these are summer days when schools are out, is there any difference between going on Friday vs. Saturday regarding how rough the park seems to be? I appreciate any recommendations offered.

We have been in the past during Halloween Fright Nights but didn't experience anything described here. We would go on Friday when kids are in school so the park wasn't extremely busy which probably played a role in this. The last time we were there was Oct 2001. It is such a shame cause we love many of their rides such as Superman which is unique to that park. X wasn't open yet so we want to try that and Scream. Many of the other rides can be found here in Atlanta at SF over GA.

PS Deja Vu is never open here. I have only been twice here when it was open. On our last trip to MM, it was open but kept shutting down as we waited in line and never got on it there.

I will admit that MM is not as clean and polished as Disney, but you're not going to find many theme parks that are. We try to get to MM at least once a year during one of our many DL trips. We've even made trips just to MM, although its hard being so close to DL and not going on down. It is usually just myself and my 9 yr old and I have never felt that he or I was in any danger. We see groups of teens around the park, but never saw anything threatening. Usually we are done in the park by 5 or 6pm, unless we are there for Fright Night (which is way better than at our home Six Flags park).

I was at Magic Mountain and Deja Vu was running. I believe it was running the entire day. I consider myself lucky to have rode it.
