Six Flags Darien Lake

Ok so.

I have been going to six flags : darien lake for about 12 years now.

It's my entire childhood.

Last summer, they announced that Darien Lake was bankrupt and was going to have all its rides sold seperately.

I almost cried.
Then, the original owner bought it back and this year its now "Darien lake Resort"

BUT.
The rides used to be Looneytunes and Superman/Batman/Wonderwoman type things.

I bought pants, shirt, necklaces AND A CAPE for the superman ride.
They even gave me a dog tag for riding it the second most times in a day.

I go to check the website today.
guess what.

ITS NOT SUPERMAN ANYMORE...
Its :"Ride Of Steel"

I have never felt such a sense of loss.
It will just never be the same.

R.I.P. Six Flags Darien lake.

Disney World. I love it don't get me wrong! But it's just changing so quickly. Like one minute one ride is there and then I turn around and turn back and it's gone.

I agree with both of the prior responses.

But on a Darien Lake note, it's always been 'Ride of Steel'...it's just had 'Superman' before it. You can still get away with all of your stuff...everyone will still refer to it as 'Superman'. No worries.

But on a Darien Lake note, it's always been 'Ride of Steel'...it's just had 'Superman' before it. You can still get away with all of your stuff...everyone will still refer to it as 'Superman'. No worries.

Other than I've lost of right to wear clothing that I like at school?
Yeah that sucks.
We aren't allowed to have our collarbone showing (like what the hell? my collarbone is pretty high up..) and flip flops are a safety hazard. Yes, I understand what can happen if you wear flip flops, but I'm not going to fall down the stairs because of my shoe, I would because I'm stupid.

In Vegas when I was about 10 they tore down our best park, Wet n' Wild. The last time I went to it I was 6 so I have no memories of it. They say they're going to locate the park closer to where I live but it's been 5 years and they still haven't even gotten the land

I know, but people will still call it the Superman and consider it as such because that's what they've always known it as. You'll still be fine with your stuff. In any case, sorry--that place rocked.

when everyone found out that Six Flags Astroworld in Houston, Texas was closing

i practically grew up there my parents and grandparents grew up there it was sad to see it go

It makes no sense:
Tank tops must have a strap two fingers width, but you can't show your collarbone?
How is that possible?
And, even when I'm wearing a hoodie you can see my collarbone.

Anything Disney that's been digitally enhanced makes me cry.
