Sitting on the Sidelines (for now)

Congratulations to all those getting FD. We usually go to Disney last week of August but this year have decided to go Jersey week to hopefully see some of the Holiday decorations and MVMCP. We have a room only reservation for CBR at 30% off with a pin but are still hoping for FD in Nov. So my question is - If they extend FD into late Fall when do you think it will happen? We can start making ADRs the 2nd week of May - do you think FD will be extended before May? It's really hard sitting on the sidelines watching everyone get great deals for Aug/Sept.

FD isnt usually offered until July or Aug(it was last year) I think you made a good choice! I love DIsney in OCT/NOV its our fav time to go!!!!

We are sitting on the sidelines too! We are planning on the last week of October this year. We went the 2nd week of November last year and had FD, but it wasn't announced until the beginning of August.

Thanks for answering my question. I found the historic FD release dates after I posted and saw that late fall FD was released in Aug last year. I guess I will make ADRs for the places we really want to dine regardless of whether we get FD when the 180 day window opens.

That's what we will be doing. At least we will have ADRs for everywhere we want even if there is no FD. It will be easier to cancel a few if we need, than add them later.

thats what we are doing too. Making ressies for the places we want reguardless of discounts and then if things change, we will just plan accordingly. We will be eating whether or not we get FD lol

I'm sitting with you! We are also planning on Jersey week and hoping for some kind of promotion. I'm getting antsy though. I'm thinking of booking soon and just putting down the $200. That way I'm booked and we can make ADR's, etc. like you said. Then hopefully we can apply whatever promotion comes before the balance needs to be paid.

I also went late Nov. early Dec. last year and it was amazing!!!!! LOVED it! Now we want to visit in Oct.! Would LOVE a pn FD or room discount. Until then I sit and wait!

We won't be going this Fall without FD either. A 15-20% room only offer just doesn't cut it!
