My contract went to Disney for ROFR last Monday. I know it may take up to 30 days but I keep checking my email. Maybe today? LOL So my question is - what is the shortest/longest it took to pass ROFR? I'm not worried about passing, it's just the waiting that is making me crazy! :scared::scratchin

Trust me, a longer wait is better than a shorter wait. Disney has been sending out ROFR notices in the first couple of weeks of having a contract. So if you get beyond the first couple of weeks, you should feel better about being in the clear.

I heard back after 11 days that my contract didn't pass but took alittle less than a month for the second one that did pass. After two weeks you should be in the clear. Most notices come out on tuesday.

Good Luck!

As MissyRose said, typically Disney executes ROFR quickly, but lets things linger a long time when they're going to pass, so the longer the silence the better. Four days to a ROFR waiver must be record --- or maybe jel0511 has a photo of a DVD vice president in a compromising position?!? :rotfl2:

For example, today I learned that my recent OKW offer (300 point Dec UY contract, fully loaded, just under $50/pt) was ROFR'd after about a week. Two other contracts submitted at the same time, but not quite as attractively priced, are still sitting at Disney w/o any word. Since they had a chance to make a decision on the OKW contract, they presumably could just as well have made up their mind on the other two, but are "generously" letting me squirm a bit before putting me out of my misery or letting me celebrate. :scared:

We just had 4 contracts pass ROFR and Disney held them for the 30 days plus or minus their Monday/Tuesday notifications.

IMO they hold the notifications as punishment for buying resale. A new owners first glimpse behind the DVC curtain. :sad2:

:earsboy: Bill

A longer wait is better. It seems like if Disney is going to grab your contract they do it within 2 weeks. If they intend to waive their ROFR they make you sweat it out the whole month (or close to it.) 4 days to pass ROFR is definitely atypical. My contract was submitted on 6/25 we were notified that Disney waived their ROFR on 7/17.

First, I'm sorry about ROFR - it was a good deal. Good luck with the other 2.

I want a copy of this photo! I think we should just pass it around so everyone gets their contracts quickly! :lmao::rotfl2:

No photo here.... just lucky I guess..... We submitted on May 28th and heard back on June 1st we passed. This was last year though. It only took 4 weeks from offer to closing, shorter than most peoples ROFR time. I have no idea why our contract went so fast....... I do think it was some sort of record never to be repeated again!
