Went out and shoveld off about 3" around 9:00. By the time I finished there was already 1/2" where I started. Going to be a LONG day!!

You guys, sound like a broken record. I hate snow, it's snowing here, it's cold here.
Now it's time for me to do some complaining.
they closed the roads in North and South Carolina due to the ice. They are ticketing people who are driving un-necessarily. Now we all know how I would hate to get a ticket. sooooooo............
We have to stay in Fl for another day or two. Boo Hoo. don't you all feel sorry for me?
Now my only problem is telling my boss. Anyone want the dirty job? Peggie

We have at least 20 inches if not more. Ewwwwww. I like snow, but this is insane!

Yes Cynthia the closed the Club. Just came back in from 2nd round of shoveling. Took off another 2 -2.5 inches. Could see a little further up the road this time. At 9:00 could not see past the end of the block. This time I could see about the middle of the next block. Oh and Peggie...I do NOT feel sorry for you! Though it is a wise move cause you would never get home today!

I had to get in on this one....

I am in Central Jersey, we have had between 18" - 24" of snow since 3:00pm yesterday. It hasn't stopped snowing since it started yesterday afternoon and it is coming down harder than ever. We just dug out Missy's truck, but mine is still buried.

I am telecommuting today and it looks like I won't be going into to work tomorrow either. Woo Hoo!

I'm telecommuting today, also. They did shut down Sikorsky for second and third shifts. Now I just have to worry about getting to East Hartford for a class tomorrow at 8:00 am. Hope it's not still snowing then.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel...all the other flights on JetBlue are sold out. JetBlue insists that the flight tonight is still on schedule...pretty good considering the airport is closed

They are just showing that beautiful snow on tv...No traffic, planes, cabs, etc....how quiet it must be..... it has been so long since I have seen a snow storm like this..and here I am ..stuck here in hot Orlando, climbing into the 80's , while I crave a nice peaceful snow fall..

And Poor Peggie and Darlene, stuck here in this miserable town, w/ nothing to do but go to Disney..buy the new pins for today, and yesterday....I mean, how boring, they will probably go to Scoops seminar, and trade for some great pins, and I'm sure their hearts won't be in it at all, and the only place they really want to be is up there in this lovely snow...

Down here, they are interviewing all the people stranded in the airports, and they want to go home too... Now the trains are stopped..we can't even get to Ft Lauderdale...

Ahhhh....these lovely pics remind me of that song from White Christmas....Snow!!!! If I had the Queens' apptitude for song, I could "sing" it for you, but I will spare you....

Good luck up there, and enjoy the snow, pay the neighbor kid down the block w/ the snow blower to do your driveway...used to work for me..

I wish we had 8-12 inches of snow.

Instead, we got SLEET!! Right now we have about 4 inches of very compacted ice. We aren't getting out today, hopefully we'll be out tomorrow.

That is, if the plow trucks don't make a wall of ice for us to have to fight through.

It's official as of 3pm this afternoon Staten Island, New York got a record 24 inches and more expected unitl tonight... NO WORK for me how do we digg out... I look out the window and see everyone plowing and my car is getting deeper and deeper I can hardly see the roof of the car... the snow plow passed by and more snow.. I'm leaving it there until tomorrow.. excuse not to get to work..

DH was called in to work. Works for the city and when it was moved to a State of Emergency he had to get his bu... to work no matter what... good thing he has a 4 wheel drive..

DD went out last night to a friends and looks like she'll be there for a couple of day... So I'm home alone but not quite... Grandson is here couldn't be picked up or dropped of..
So we are having a ball... making tents with blankets and of all things tissue boxes.. building forts..

Hope all are fending the weather well...

Went back outside at 3:00 and shoveled some more. Getting BAD!! After I finishing takeing off another 4-5" I was able to pull another 1" off where I started!

Mario I just need to hire one of the kids from the Club. Unfortunately the one I used to hire is away at college!

This is what we woke up to in Richmond this morning

Thing is, this stuff isn't snow but sleet. I scraped off the car windows and it was nothing but a bunch of ice pellets. We walked down the street a bit and it was really solid. In a way, I hope the county doesn't plow our street, because it would be easier to get out now than it would be with a wall of ice between our cars and the street.
