Sitting at the sushi bar at Morimoto's

Has anyone experienced this before?

I'd like to know how it works:

Do you get a menu? Or do you just talk to the sushi chef?

When making an ADR, do you need to do this through "The Sushi Bar at Morimoto Asia" Or can you also reserve through "Morimoto Asia" and then request to sit at the bar?

Are the prices the same as the regular menu downstairs?

Is there an option to order something other than sushi when sitting at the bar?

Would it be weird sitting at the bar when dining solo?

EDIT: How are the prices? On the regular Morimoto menu I see prices for rolls but I understand they serve mostly nigiri at the bar? (Considered more authentic?)

I would make a general reservation at Morimoto's via OpenTable at 60ish days...then, if you change your mind, you aren't stuck with the $10 pp fee. Also, they do not limit sushi to just the bar anymore...you can get everything at all tables. The advantage of the bar is getting to watch the the chefs, and you can always ask to see if the bar is available at check-in.

I really like the decor and music at Morimoto's. It is my kind of place.

We enjoyed the Peking duck. Everything we ate was good. The price just added up quick.
