Site that predicts airline pricing?

Hi Everyone! I thought I read somewhere on the boards about a site that will predict whether ticket prices will be going up or down and when. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thanks for any help!

They are generally worthless. Airlines change their pricing on an hourly basis. There is no specific way to predict demand.
I would think that it would be as reliable as one that predicts lottery numbers. Some places say to book only on specific days but that too is not reliable.

There's virtually no way significantly to save on airfare unless you booked with Southwest and then saw a large price drop and changed it.

Hopper purports to do what you are asking. I haven't really used it as I don't have an Iphone.

Although you don't HAVE to have an Iphone, it makes it easier.

I posted about it on this board about two or so weeks ago, and it got nothing but negative comments, but the comments were from people who had not tried Hopper.

I did sign-up for their e-mails, I will say they have only sent a couple and the couple they have sent have actually been "newsy" with practical tips.

Time Magazine had a blurb about Hopper...see link below. One of these days, I will get more heavily into it, but as a said, it is geared toward Iphone users.

Got it, thanks! We are flying Jet Blue like we always do and haven't seen the price change too much. It's gone up $25 per person in the last month. We're traveling in October and have certain flights that we really want. Not sure if we should just book or wait a little while longer.

I have actually been using Hopper for a trip I was thinking about in Sept and it did tell me at one point "this may as low as it goes" and... I think it might have been right. Based on the trip I am looking at and my past experience I don't think it's totally useless.
