Site for purchasing Broadway tix?

I use www.HitShowClub.com, www.Playbill.com, and www.BroadwayBucks.com, for discount tickets. If you are interested in paying full price for popular shows like Lion King you can use either www.Ticketmaster.com or www.Telecharge.com.
As for hotels, I live here so I am not the best one to advise on hotels. When you need dining recommendations, let me know!

As for hotels alot depends on what you want to pay. But I will recommend one not to stay at.
Last summer we stayed at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers....would NEVER stay there again! It costs 189.00 per night and the maid service and general treatment by hotel staff was horrible. 3 days out of 8 we never had a maid show up to our room until I called at night to complain. 2 days out of 8 (not counting the 3) the maid never bothered to empty garbages. These were our last 2 full days so when we checked out there were about 4-5 shopping bags full of garbage.
There is also a discount tix place in Times Square, but you have to line up early. We went to the location at South Street Seaport (it's across the street from it...at least it was last summer) and the lines were not bad at that location...maybe about a 15 minute wait.

I should have added the TKTS lines. These are great if you just want to take your chances on what to see. As the poster above said though, you do have to get in line early and just wait. Depending on the day they usually have a large selection of shows available but you do not get your choice of seats...they give you what they have available and it is cash or travelers check only.

We like to stay at the Hilton on Avenue of the Americas. It is an easy walk to Central Park, TimesSquare and the TKTS booth (discount Broadway show tickets, cash only) and 5th Avenue. It is a lot quieter than staying on Broadway, if you prefer it that way.
