Sit up question.... TMI .....

Hey, I have a question.... its a little embarassing, but here it goes anyway...

I've been doing crunches - a lot of crunches. I try to do 100 at a time, at least 4-6 times a day. Every time I do them, I have to... run the the bathroom.... Is this normal? Am I "crunching" wrong? Should I do less at a time??

Sorry if this is TMI, but I had to ask someone!

Okay.... I gotta ask.... are we talking bladder or intestinal issues here? Not sure by your post.

If you are having urine leakage, it could just be your age (over 40 by any chance??) and if you had children. Try emptying your bladder fully before exercising. I also find I have less "issues" if I get in my work out first thing in the morning. I figure my bladder is really empty then, so no issues. (And yes, I'm over 40 and have had two kids.)

If it is the other, then maybe whenever you work out, it is "just your time" to go. If you are getting cramping and/or diarrhea when you work out, maybe it has something to do with whatever you are eating/drinking before your workout.... especially if it is the same thing every time. Not sure what else it coud be.

Yeah, I guess it was hard to tell what I ment, but I ment the brown stuff.... its almost every time, and its almost cramping. I don't think it has anything to do with food since I do my crunches at all different times. Maybe I'm doing it wrong - I don't know! Thanks for trying to help.
 
No, that is not normal, but I think the more important question is why are you doing 100 crunches, 4-6 times a day?
