Sit & Stand Stroller or 2 McLauren Umbrella types?

Hi - we're planning our trip in a couple of months, and I was curious what stroller to take.

We'll be using bus transportation only, and staying at CSR.

My son is a BIG boy - turning 5; 56 inches tall, 56 pounds. My daughter will be just turning 2 - small fry. Weighs 22 lbs soaking wet.

I have a Joovy sit & Stand with a rain cover. I also have a McLauren type stroller that doesn't recline. Would I be better bringing the Joovy on the buses, or should we get a second umbrella stroller and bring those to the parks?

I know you can rent there, but we'll be there for a week and $15 a day seems like a lot when I could just buy a McLauren with that money.

Thanks so much for your help!

I would bring the sit and stand. We used one two years ago for our kids. They were 2 and 6 at the time. The 6 year old only jumped on the back once in a while, but it worked out great. Having just one stroller to push around is easier than 2 - it frees up a set of hands. We didn't have any problems getting it on and off the buses. We also stayed at CSR that year. We took it to the pool and it came in handy for all the stuff we needed to take along. Carrying the refillable mugs and pool stuff along with the kids can get hard!

Have fun!

When we went in 2006, ds's were 6 and 3. Our Joovy was great and have recommended the stroller for many taking trips to wdw with kids about this age. DH got the stroller on and off the busses, so I can't comment on the ease of this. He didn't have any trouble.

Our sit and stand has made two very happy trips to WDW. It will likely make a third in september. It comes in handy for all the stuff we need to carry.

Thanks everyone! I love that you all have had positive experiences. My SIL bought us the comfy pad and a rain cover for it - so the kids should be nice and happy and best of all, I don't have to buy another stroller.

Thanks for the advice. I'll just plan on taking the Joovy! :thumbsup2

I looove my Mac Volo, but I have been to Disney with a sit and stand and it was great too. This last trip we brought the MAC (my 6 yo has heart issues and tires easily) and my big Chicco stroller for my little one so that he would be comfy and that worked great for us too. To me the time on and off the bus is such a small part of the day that I don't really worry about it (especially if dh is loading and unloading:thumbsup2 ).So, I say bring the one that would be most comfortable for the kids. Also with those big strollers you can really store alot underneath.

I have brought my Graco DuoGlider the last 3 years. This year i am really contemplating bringing my Sit & Stand instead.......so I'm glad ot read the positive responses.
Unfortunately, I also have to bring our umbrella stroller too.
One of my 6y/o has heart issues & tires easily also, & a 3 year old, who wouldn't make it......which leaves the other 6y/o out, which, she will have none of that, lol!
