We are driving down from Nor Cal, so minivan space is somewhat of a premium (there are 4 adults & 2 children on this trip.) I will bring our Peg Perego for the 9mo old. It has the toddler steps in the back so an older child can stand and hold onto the handles in the back. (Hopefully I am explaining this correctly.)

I was wondering if I should also bring our Maclaren umbrella stroller so the 4 yo could actually sit vs stand? We're staying at GCH and plan mostly half days with afternoon naps & swimming back at the hotel before heading out for dinner and maybe some night entertainment.

How old is your 4 year old? Closer to 4 and a half? Closer to 5? When we went to DL in Nov. 2006, our daughter was 4 and a half, and had NO problem without any stroller. We walked, and walked, all over the park. We did take a short break of around 1/12 - 2 hours around 4 PM, then stop to eat supper before heading back to the parks, and she easily walked around again. When she slept, around 9 PM when we got back, she slept hard, and immediately. In the morning, she was raring to go again, and we had spent a total of 5 days in the park. I was far more tired/sore than she was (not in as good shape.)

I think that the one stroller will be lots to have your hands full, and the little bar that she can stand on will work out perfectly. I would not want to be tied down with another stroller.

I think she'll be just fine. :)

Agreed. I wouldn't.

I took a sit and stand stroller, becaue we already had one. My 4 year old could ride in there (and did) but he could've easily walked it with a few breaks. I would NOT have messed with a second stroller.

Thanks for the advice. She'll be almost 4 1/2. I worry about her because when we take long walks around the neighborhood, she always complains that her legs itch. She doesn't have the greatest stamina.

We'll be there for 5 days as well. I guess if she's tired, we'll just take a break. But being able to hang on the back of the stroller should help out.

Oh duh, I totally skimmed your post I guess.

Your peg with steps will be perfect! My son rarely used the 'sit' part of our sit and stand. And he was almost 5 now that I think about it.

She'll be so excited to be there; there is so much to see and do, that I doubt the fact that her legs might be sore, or itch, will be noticed/commented on by her. Usually the kids are so busy noticing all the great sights of Disneyland, or the kids standing in line in front of them who are picking their noses, :scared:
