I've been there a bunch of times, but I'm perplexed every time on where to eat for sit down service? What are your suggestions and why? I'd especially love some tips if you have to eat Gluten Free! I've heard good things about the GF fried chicken at 50s Prime Time......

Any tips, reviews, suggestions would be appreciated!

I love 50's Prime time and I love it for it fun atmosphere and the way the waiters "boss" around the customers... The food is sooo good, I love it all, the pot roast, fried chicken, meatloaf and potpie. Fabulous shakes and malts.... The prices are pretty good and the portions are large. I have eaten at Mama Melrose and liked it a lot (they have a great package for fantasmic priority seating) and Sci Fi diner which I thought was ok... Still I look forward to eating at the 50's primetime every visit :)

Sci-Fi! I'm a stickler for it... I have an ADR for Hollywood and Vine for breakfast for DD(first time at H&V) and opted to book Sci-Fi for a late dinner as opposed to a Fantasmic package...

I love the atmosphere!!! The food is so-so, (but honestly I order a ceaser salad onion rings and a chocolate shake...so I'm not really there for the nutritional value! HA!)

P.S. I dunk my onion rings in my chocolate shake too... :P

That's the only one I've eaten at honestly...and I keep going back!

We really enjoy the food and atmosphere of the PT50s cafe. Also the Sci Fi isn't bad either with one of the coolest themes I have ever seen for a restaurant.

this!

Can't help with the gluten free part, but Brown Derby is our fav at HS. The food is excellent and we've never had a bad experience there. :thumbsup2

I love Sci Fi for the drive in theatre feel but for food and feeling comfy I love Mama Melrose next to the Christmas Store near Pizza Planet. It is probably not the best for Gluten Free eating but I am sure they have substitutions available.

Hollywood and Vine was buffet when we went for the character breakfast and it was lots of fun with the Disney Junior Characters.

Thanks everyone for all of the info! I love all the personal opinions. Except it doesn't make my decision any easier ;) hahahaha!!

Since DDIL is gluten intolerant, I've done research on her dining options in each park to make ADRs where she has solid choices. All of the places mentioned by the posters will work. While in HS, I'll make ADRs amongst Brown Derby, Mamas and Sci Fi. We don't care for the 50's Prime Time service theme.
