Sit-down Lunch without ADRs?

Hi!

Do you usually need ADRs for sit-down lunches? I don't know when we'll be hungry, so I thought we'd wing it.

I was hoping to try the Whispering Canyon in early Feb. Will we be able to get in for a random lunch time without an ADR??

I find that I can walk up to most restaurants in the resorts, and many in Epcot without an ADR and get seated within 15-20 minutes. Some of the more popular places like Le Cellier, Teppanyaki, or Ohana pretty much require an ADR.

I've never gone to Whispering Canyon at lunch time, but I would guess you could probably get a table pretty quickly. You could also try stopping at Guest Services at one of the parks to see if you can make an ADR before heading over there--they may be able to give you an indication of how busy it is.

I went there for lunch the first week of January and had NO trouble at all getting seated at 1:30. There were tonnes of empty tables around!

Or, if you have a cell phone, call 407-WDW-DINE and check on availability. That's what I do if my husband and I decide at the last minute for a lunch or dinner. We got a seating time of 6:00 for dinner at Rose and Crown the day before Easter just by calling. It was about 4:30 when I called.
