Aren't the Duck Dynasty guys and gals hilarious!?! I think the reason we love them so (besides the fact that they are here in our hometown) is because they act just like us and vice versa.

We have many highways, roads, schools, etc. closed for all of the flooding. Two of our neighboring suburbs have already been declared disaster areas.

I'm hoping the trains will be running so I can get home tonight (Mark turned around and went home after sitting in traffic for two hours and no way to get to his job)

I saw your pictures and the flood waters were scary! How are things now?

I'm one for always wanting to try a different resort. It was once my goal to stay at every WDW resort at some point. I've given that up now. Although, I think in my short time of going to WDW, I've done pretty well with hitting quite a few resorts. Of course, we are heading back to Bay Lake Tower for my birthday.

We are planning on arriving ON my birthday, but we aren't leaving until the afternoon that day. I'm planning on telling my DH to floor it as much as possible because my only requirement for my 40th birthday is to watch Wishes on my actual birthday.

Can't wait to hear about your park and dining plans!

I wish that we had stayed on Disney property way back when we first started going to Disney but I didn't know any better all those trips ago. Once we tried onsite, we said that we'd never go back offsite again unless that was the only way we could get to Disney.

Heck yeah, floor it hubby! Gotta get to Disney ON your birthday not AFTER your birthday!

I'm even more sad I didn't get to go to WDW when I look at all of your CBR pictures! I will be staying there next time I stay at WDW, for sure!

48 Days till CBR - Great PTR - You should see my waist line, she is to good a cook but being a diabetic she is good for me to keep my numbers down.

I love to cook and envy your wife being a chef. You're lucky to have your own personal chef who can cook for diabetics. My dad was diabetic and we got used to "diabetic food".

That is the main thing where you go, making memories. I think I might switch over to CBR from the pics. Not sure being we got Little Mermaid rooms for 2 nights in December before going to DVC.

Well, I was three updates behind....I'm so thankful you include the chapter links on page 1!

I was practically laughing out loud reading your travel update, and when you posted that picture of the two snakes on highway 49, well I really lost it then!

I also want to try different resorts at Disney, but then something always pulls me back to the same one...And I think that's quite ok! I'm glad your mama's getting to go with you, and I know you are too! Memories---that's what all these trips are about!

Weren't those snakes scary!?! I'm thinking that Google images was mistaken to think that those size snakes would be on Interstate 75. At least that's what I keep telling myself.

Mama has been talking about Disney so much the last week so I know that she's ready to hit the road too.

Caught up on your PTR- thanks for the links! Busy couple of weeks with theatre stuff- Ben was in a school play (Pom Pom Zombies), I ran Greek Day for the 6th grade at school (Ben was King Midas in a skit) and this weekend and next he is Napoleon the Dog in Aristocats Kids with our theatre group.

I enjoyed coming along on your virtual trip to Disney, seeing some of the sights we have seen before and some new ones of a reptilian nature! Hilarious comments about not making a stop for bio breaks! And the honking in the tunnels!

Can't wait to hear what you think about POFQ and to see all of your pictures when you tour the resort. Great reason to stick with CBR, though.

Heck no, I won't be taking any pee breaks if I see anything even remotely resembling those snakes and alligators.

I wouldn't feel right changing up resorts completely knowing that Mama feels comfortable at the CBR. She's already said that she knows that she'll be staying at the resort by herself some afternoons.

Sorry Lisa. No pics of me with the powdered sugar from head to toe. I guess since I am usually in charge of the camera, we just didn't think about getting one. But I am sure this will not be the last time I wear my food.

It's a running joke that I "wear my food" too!

It's funny how the mannequin in your souvenir shop picture looks like it's holding an invisible baby.

I didn't even notice it until you said something but it does look like it.

I love the making memories portion of your trip That sounds wonderful. Hope your room is ready for you when you get there, I also like being able to set up and sort out right away.
Those hammocks look like they're calling MY name too! What a coincidence.

My sisters call Mama and keep up with what's going on but they don't really "do things" with Mama like we do. We include her when we go out to eat. She goes on trips with us. She goes shopping with me. She lives right beside us and we enjoy it. I'm not saying that my sisters don't care or that they don't check in on her but we are always there...always...and I wouldn't change that for the world.

Joining in and caught up! It has been a crazy week up here in Boston. Many people thought i was running on Monday, I was in a meeting during the bombing and not responding to texts, so I was "among the missing". My parents phone was ringing non-stop for about an hour! My office was closed on Friday because we were in the "shelter in place zone." Thankfully everyone I know who was there or running or lives in Watertown is safe. Scary week. HOWEVER I am thankful for the Dis and the escape from reality! So far your trip plans look great! I do not blame you at all for wanting to stay in a familiar place for Mama. I would be the same way. Can't wait to hear about the rest of the pre-trip plans!

Oh my goodness! I know that your friends and family were going nuts trying to find you! I'm so very happy that they caught the second "accused" bomber. I hope that they get him to tell anything and everything and I mean EVERYTHING. The bombings were so senseless and so many lives were effected by nothing but meanness. Pure meanness!

I am a HUGE POR fan. I really prefer it to POFQ for many reasons. It just feels like home to me. Wow that IS a ton of creepy guys! But I think those clowns are scarier! I might have had a few nightmares about them don't tell

I really think that we will enjoy French Quarter more than we would have had we stayed at Riverside which would feel too much like home.

Yep, Mama just turned 79. She still gets around pretty good despite having arthritis in both feet. She's going into the vacation with the knowledge that she will be at the resort quite a bit so we needed to make sure that she was comfortable with her surroundings.

Mama said that this is "probably" her last trip with us to Disney. If that's really the case, then next year, we are going to try a new resort. Hopefully, on this trip, we can scope out other resorts.

We used to stay right down the road from those gaudy gift shops too. We stayed at the Days Inn at Mile Marker 9.

Our trips had too much time between the first day of mine and the last day of their trip. So, if you both are there within the same 14 day window, then I don't see why you couldn't share it.

The only difference I saw between the two was that with the Plus option you got the ride photos and dining photos added to your cd at no additional charge beyond the extra expense of the Plus option.

I think you have to use that one Plus card for the ride and dining options. I found this thread; maybe it will help.
