Last night was a tough episode to watch. Heartbreaking.

It sure was! I sat there crying. Then when Gabriel appeared on the screen....I really lost it. What that young man has been through is heartbreaking. I wondered why he agreed to be on the show to talk about it. You could really see how much the whole family loved Garrison. I even felt a bit sorry for Kody.....

I had to record last night's episode because we were busy. I started watching it online on my lunch hour and had to stop because I was beginning to ugly cry. I'll watch the rest at home.

I know a lot of people came out of last night's episode feeling more empathy toward Kody. I'm not one of them. Garrison had serious issues. The family knew he had serious issues. Yet Kody said the things he said to and about Garrison. I find that reprehensible. You couldn't pay me to say those things publicly about a child of mine. Especially a child struggling with alcoholism and depression.

I'd like to hope Kody was reformed by this experience. But we're a year later and have no signs of that.

watching it last night it struck me that when kody spoke of transporting garrison's ashes to wyoming it was the ONLY time I can ever recall him referring to garrison (or any of the boys) as 'my son'. he said he wanted to 'bury my son'. for YEARS he has always referred to the 'kids' as 'janelle's kids', 'christine's kids'. during the COVID arguments (and rehashing) it's always been 'janelle's boys'. never 'my kids, my sons' .

I nearly gagged when he was lamenting to robyn 'how am I going to do this? how do I do the rest of my life with every holiday and every birthday?'. REALY??? we've heard how you forgot about your older kid's birthdays (gabe talked of it previously-in tears) and YOU initiated no socialization 5 years ago (yeah kody-it's been 5 years since the lockdown when all but your robyn household were effectivly locked out of your life).

That was one heart wrenching episode. The scene in the kitchen with Janelle talking with her sister was so hard to watch. However I did skip over the scenes of Kody and Robin lamenting over Garrison. I feel Kody was never there for his son.

I felt so bad for Janelle being trapped by cameras having that discussion with her sister. I really like her and my heart breaks for her. But filming all of this for TV just seems so wrong.

Honestly, I think I would have been a little better about all of it if they had all agreed to donate this episode's pay to the Humane Society in Garrison's name or something.

It definitely was a tough episode to watch. I particularly felt for Meri as you could see just how hard it hit her. Obviously the OG 3 felt it the worst.

I want to feel bad for Kody and you would have thought that this would have been a wake-up call for him but sadly we all know it wasn't. If this didn't change his behaviour then nothing will.

Overall I thought it was a good episode and was a nice tribute to Garrison.

I was disgusted by what I perceived as inuendo between Robyn and Kody at the beginning of the fire pit scene. After that, I just couldn't believe they were sincere in anything they said.

I'm not pausing the dissing of Kody. He made that entire process about him. Janelle, Christine and Meri kept talking about Garrison. All Kody could talk about was himself.

Yes, even the fact that he and his "bros" dug the precise, exactly square hole in the cemetery himself. But again did you notice the kids didn't really go over and comfort him in his grief. Let's finish this season and finish the series - where else can it go. I don't need to see Meri get a husband or Janelle in her dream farm.
